The Angel - Menu

This is a fabulous pub in Welsh Countryside. A seasonal menu with a good variety of choices. Food was spectacular, all freshly cooked and nicely presented. Service was second to none and the staff were very friendly. Booking recommended.

We rented a property local to the Angel Inn over Easter weekend. We booked a table in advance a good job we did as they were fully booked all weekend! The food was beautiful enjoyed by all. Friendly staff would definitely return if in the area again. Thanks.

This quaint traditional pub, located in a charming village, was a delightful discovery. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our meals were outstanding, I enjoyed the Skrei Cod which was absolutely delicious, followed by a perfectly made homemade fig and honey rice pudding. We will definitely return!

My partner and I went to The Angel Inn for lunch on a chilly Sunday in February and we were highly impressed. The cozy log fire was lit, the food was scrumptious (generous portions at a reasonable price), and they had a great selection of local ales and cider. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

Lovely meal at The Angel the twice baked cheese soufflé was perfection; yummy Spanish seafood stew too. Others had the chicken liver parfait, beef burger, and veggie pasta (which looked amazing, and plenty of it), all really good. Sadly no room for the puds except one sneaky ice cream. Excellent value and delicious wines too. Such a great village pub buzzy and friendly, but still laid back vibes. Perfect evening.

Stopped here for supper last week while staying nearby. The village itself is stunning and worth a pre-dinner wander. The service was impeccable, attentive and timely without being overbearing. Our dog was taken care of just as well as we were, with water and a biscuit promptly arriving alongside our drinks! The food was equally as spectacular, we had the lamb and the mushroom and truffle ravioli which were both outstanding. Would highly recommend, the best meal by far of our visit to Monmouthshire.

We went to the Angel for Sunday Lunch the roast dinner was spectacular plenty of beef cooked to perfection, crispy roast potatoes and yorkshires the size of a mini. The starter of King prawn and scallops was heavenly I could have eaten a casserole bowl full of this, the masala sauce was perfection, the scallops just melted in my mouth you could lose yourself in the moment not even 20 of each wouldn't have been enough!!! This pub is a little ray of sunshine and well worth a visit. Keep up the good work guys can't wait to come back. X

I cannot recommend the Angel highly enough. The food and service is absolutely superb. My partner and I had dinner cooked by Jim the chef, the very best pub burger ever. My partner had Ginger salmon dish which she also said was superb, the accompanying salad beautifully fresh. Our best pub food by a country mile. Great selection of real ale, recommend the Butty Bach. Also joined in with some local musicians for a jam. Guitar selection in the pub, if you’re up for it. Lovely log fire. The most welcoming pub you could wish for. High praise for Chloe too, the landlady who made us feel like locals.

A big thank you to Chloe, Jim, Margie, and the entire team for consistently delivering amazing food, a great drink selection, a fantastic atmosphere, and live music. We recently enjoyed a Sunday roast for a party of 10, and it was delicious with all the trimmings. The service was top-notch as always. Additionally, my husband and I had our wedding in the village this summer, and the pub warmly welcomed our guests who stopped by upon arrival. The pub hosted us for another roast dinner with around 30 guests, and everyone was equally impressed by the meal. The live music in the afternoon was also wonderful. The Angel Inn is truly the best pub around!
