"Strange one because I’ve been to this bar probably 20 times in 5 years. This year was a little different as I now have a 1 year old. When we arrived it was obvious that it was understaffed, again not there fault, but not mine either. If you show us a table you’re excepting that you can serve us. Service was very poor, couldn’t even get a teaspoon, he said “if I get time Il bring you one” it never came! Food was fine, as were drinks, baby was in his high chair enjoying some food, time came to change him and I kid you not they have no changing facilities. Not only that but they said I can’t change him at all in the building, I had to walk to another bar to change my son. Why are you offering high chairs and a FAMILY friendly environment with nowhere to change the very things that sit in the high chairs, madness. I had to leave my 12 year old as I was on my own and hadn’t paid. Staff just said “I’ve only just got here what do you want me to do” Won’t be going back."

Called last night and we had a lovely meal. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend the hanging kababs!

Called mid afternoon. Excellent in every respect really attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble and the food is absolute top drawer. Not bad prices for the quality. Highly recommended

It was off to a bad start when they fobbed off my wife with the menu and overcharged her. The drinks were watered down to the point they were flat. If you like Gin or Rum, this is not the place for you. As for...

Came here with a friend for a beer and a bite to eat, the upstairs the lights flicker every 30 seconds like a disco not good for migraine sufferers or epileptics. It was that bad it was giving us a headache so moved outside....

the first time to eat here, even though we were already for a drink. beautiful atmosphere. that was great. we had a crabcake star very nice. then a hanging kebab and 2 burgers. the whole food was very tasty and well cooked. it was unusual that I was good for a main course I managed to narrow it to 3 before I finally found the wine selection. we had ice and a millionaire curbcake for dessert all good and tasty. the price was really not expensive, we didn't think at all. the service was attentive, without being in her face and annoying exactly right. will I have gone back?

Sat at the front near the entrance could see all staff were very busy in and out taking orders none stop for maybe 2 hours until the place quitened saw a family or 2 couples having a drink whilst smoking as they got up the table got knocked and glass got smashed the barman was not around straight away but came out and spoke to these people and they instantly started to shout at the barman who was running ragged to serve everyone I heard him say he they wasn’t happy to complain to management at the pig as he was only a barman and did not have time to give them the necessary paperwork all in all food was great drinks were okay I would revisit

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
