"I was delighted to find vegan Bakewell tarts available in Bakewell, offered in two varieties: iced and classic. While the tarts seemed a bit pricey for their size, they were absolutely delicious! The filling was rich and the icing on top was just right. The only downside was that the base was quite crumbly and difficult to eat. Unfortunately, when I returned to the shop the next day, there were no vegan tarts left, which was disappointing."

I was happy that I found a vegan Bakewell tart. It was very tasty but overpriced at £5.50. It was larger than a standard one to be fair

We got a Vegan/GF bakewell tart and it was delicious! It's quite big so it served 4 of us and it was enough. The lady who served us was very welcoming and polite too!

Although the baked cake was beautiful, it felt like it wasn't made at home like the rest of the cakes in the bakery. All vegan tarts were packed in plastic, the same size and had ingrediënts on the package.

So I'm originally not far from Bakewell, so I'm not new to Bakewell tart and pudding, but I don't agree to some of the reviews about the tarts feeling homemade. Yes, they can be made externally, but they are really excellent with the bonus to be gluten-free. We also had a cornflake tare baked in the house, which was a bit back to school dinner in a good way.
