"Beautiful views- but that’s all. The food was atrocious, very expensive £21.00) for a lamb dish, £17) for fish and chips. Lentil soup £6.50). These prices are absolutely justified for the setting, IF the food was fresh and homemade. All I can say is that ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING was out of the freezer. Rolls with soup were the par baked ones- nothing wrong with that if it was a cheaper offering. Onion rings frozen, fish, chicken burger, all dishes served with limp and sad skinny fries- well, just mush fries shapes… Also, all drinks served in pint size plastic cups. Please think twice."

Very unwelcoming place. A shame the planning authority wasted a prime site on a company so interested in profit not providing a beneficial facility for the whole community. This should have been a top attraction in fort Augustus but sadly it is typical of the Scottish treatment of tourists as inconvenient cash cows.

"We stopped by Pizzariach for dinner and had pizza. It's located in a residential area with easy access and ample parking. We were quite surprised by the high prices for a small local takeaway and feel for the locals if they’re stuck paying tourist rates (which we hope isn’t the case). There aren’t many other options around, and the top-rated alternative looks nice but is even more expensive. The restaurant has some seating inside, but no one was dining there; it’s definitely more of a takeaway spot. It’s visually appealing, clean, and the staff were friendly, but the pizzas were disappointing. Both the crust and the sauce lacked flavor. Unfortunately, we ended up wishing we had just stuck with our home-cooked meals in the van."

"Fantastic restaurant in this hotel. We were not staying here but were made to feel very welcome and served up some delicious food at surprisingly good prices. I had the seabass, delicious with some lovely delicate flavours and beautifully presented, my husband had the vegetarian shepherds pie. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it was good to see that, not only did they have a great selection of vegetarian food but some imaginative thought had gone into it and it was all freshly made too. we couldn't resist the sticky toffee for desert and WOW! it was amazing!!! The staff were working very hard; it was the lead up to christmas and the restaurant was very busy, but they were all, not only professional but very pleasant and friendly with it; a real credit to the place. The whole experience was first class and we will definitely be back when next in Aviemore."

"Excellent service and lovely fresh food. Strangely they don't do battered cod but regardless their battered haddock and chips was delicious. The amount of batter was just right and wasn't oily, chips were well cooked too. We also had mushy peas and curry sauce, both were hot and delicious. They easily catered for our large group of We ordered the food on the phone and it was ready for collection when they said it would be. Drinks were ice cold. We were all very hungry and the food was very welcome. Would definitely revisit without hesitation."

"We visited the restaurant last night as a family of four and had a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our meal lasted about two hours, during which we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. The seafood chowder was delicious, and the children's half servings of soup were quite generous. From the baked fish to the venison burger and the chicken macduff, the main courses matched the starters in quality, and the desserts were equally impressive. Overall, it was honest, high-quality dining at an excellent value, making it perfect for families."
