Great food and an atmosphere to make every evening by the fire seem like a warm and exciting experience.. Great pub and dining to match the old Cotswold Hotel location.. A must stop on any trip to the country..

We spent the weekend in Fairford, drinking in the bull one day and having a Sunday lunch and drinks the next. The food was delicious, the staff all friendly and the pub was gorgeous! Loved the time we spent there!

We are staying just one night in Fairford and were recommended The Bull for dinner. We both chose the chicken roulade with a side of garlic mushrooms. Absolutely delicious a bit on the pricey side but nonetheless delicious. The desserts are worth a look too! Recommended.

I haven’t been back the the Bull in the last year and following a pretty poor couple of experiences. On the current showing I’ll be leaving it for at least another year. It’s not terrible it is just not good enough for the market it should be attracting. Actually my dessert was terrible. One of those meals where the best bit is leaving.

It's always nice to recall good times, and this lunch fits nicely into that category. Quite simply, well cooked, well presented food served by friendly, attentive staff in warm, comfortable surroundings. Food was delicious, steaks perfectly cooked and imaginative desserts. One of them felt slightly misnamed: strawberries with meringue when actually it was a big piece a meringue with a few strawberries. Staff were all very friendly but just a little slow at times: took a while to take our drinks order, didn’t bring any steak knives until we asked

We had our wedding celebration at The Bull back in December 2022. The lead up to the wedding was stressful enough but the staff were so accommodating and even gifted us the honeymoon suite for the wedding night free of charge. Upon arrival to the hotel after the church, we were greeted with a glass of champagne each and were announced into the room. We did not expect this and it was an amazing experience. The food was incredible and all intolerances were carefully catered for. The room was cleared and our items were all tidy and ready for us to clear the following morning. Could not recommend enough! We will be returning for our anniversary!

Fairford looks like a nice little town but beware if you visit on a Wednesday as it 's market day and parking is very difficult. It 's a nice old building but our visit didn 't start well as there was no tomato juice for my wife. My wife and our friends all had the fish and chips. Fish was pronounced OK but the chips were the usual bland beige tasteless variety. I had the sticky Korean barbecue pork with noodles. It 's the sort of thing I cook a lot and I must say do it a darned sight better. The chicken was tender but the noodles and their sauce were far too salty, and I like salt, and sweet but certainly not hot as described.
