Spur of the moment heal with my husband, we had a lovely meal, good menu, pizza was absolutely delicious and staff super friendly! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Amazing Pizzas. We all tried a different one. They were so good. Went on a Monday with the pizza offer. We were really pleased. Nice to see this lovely pub doing well again with the new owners. Nice Pinot blush too! Lovely staff. We will definitely be back

Thursday night dinner at the chequers, which was quiz night. Table was booked for 7pm we had our starters and mains, the quiz was in full swing, then we were forgotten about. No one came over to see if we wanted a sweet. By 8.45 we left after paying the bill at the bar. Absolutely disgusting. Visualizza piatti

I don’t know what happened tonight (9/12/23) but after waiting half an hour to even order and then waiting an hour and quarter for starters- we left before they even materialised. Waiting staff are lovely and in a difficult position, but kitchen is either inadequately staffed or unable to cope. The restaurant wasn’t even full…

Must say booking was a bit of a hit and miss ,but when we got there the service was great and the food was lovely . Melissa made us very welcome and was very pleasant, nothing was to much trouble for her ,breath of fresh air . Food was very reasonable. Definitely go there again ,great to see the restaurant back to what it us to be

This is the first time I've been into The Chequers since its reopened. I love the new decor. The staff were very friendly and attentive (and very welcoming to our 2 dogs). We had cod and chips, which was delicious. I think there's a great selection of dishes on their new menu. I'll definitely be returning to sample more of their food. Visualizza piatti

We have just had the best Sunday lunch in a long time ,thank you to all the staff at the Chequers pub ,great service, food was good value for money ,wonderful atmosphere and company ,many thanks for making us so welcome, the landlady took time out for us to check all was well.we hope to be back soon ,give this lovely pub a visit you won't be disappointed.

I asked to have my sons 21st birthday meal here and Jodie and George went to great lengths to decorate our seated area. I arrived and it looked amazing. The service was outstanding and the food was hot. Everyone enjoyed the food and commented how quick the service was. I'm actually gluten free and other family members also have intolerance and they catered for all of us. A big thank you from me and my family. X

The absolute worse restaurant experience we have ever had. I have never in my life written a review but that was so awful I feel it is my duty. Food was so late, everyone served at different times, food orders were wrong and it was as all greasy, low quality microwave food or obliterated in the deep fryer. One of the group member has come in and had diarrhoea immediately. Will never ever return, please don’t waste your time or money. Visualizza piatti
