"Lovely restaurant/pub in a beautiful building. The food was good we went there for lunch but forgot to take a picture of the food because the place looks amazing. It's right around the corner of the entrance to Hever Castle. The burger and duck salad were solid. After our tour of the castle we went back for dessert which also tasted well. The dishes are simple but fresh which is what most dishes need."

"I had not been here for many years but with friends we are trying to find a replacement for our Saturday lunch venue. So I have to say the it was excellent. Good was absolutely perfect. I had the pork belly, which was my favourite menu item from earlier visits. It was the best i have had for a long time. 11/10. My friends are equally delighted with what they had. It was busy but the staff were attentive and cannot be faulted. Highly recommended."

"We visited this place after a recommendation from The Castle Inn as their kitchen was closed already. We were greeted at the door, and we knew straight away the whole experience in this pub would be fantastic. As it was already late Sunday afternoon hours, their roast selection was limited, but we managed to get the last whole chicken roast with all the trimmings. It was a very good choice, and our family of 2 adults and 1 child had very generous portions. The food was delicious, however not enough green vegetables for me (mangetout, cabbage or something else). Gravy was full of flavour and came in a big pot, so it was plenty. As mentioned before, staff was very attentive and checked on us from time to time, so high five to them! The whole experience was great and will definitely be back when in the area. See you soon."

"Very pleasant atmosphere starter perfect but the Main was terrible. Potatoes where very chewy as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp. My meat was way too rare a choice as to how I would of liked it would of been better. In all we had 2 mains which on each plate was meat potatoes Yorkshire and greens still left which In my opinion sums up the main courses. But on a positive note both starters 7-10 Both mains 4-10 1 pudding. 10-10 We would return as we noticed you was serving a variety of different meals. Would we recommend. Not for the roast but maybe the other choices."

"Despite arriving pretty early, they had run out of several items on the menu, which as vegetarians left us short on choices. We ended up going for the wild mushroom risotto, as a main and we got a small bowl of fairly bland risotto, who 's saving grace was that the rice was cooked quite well. There was no cheese board so I was left actually still pretty hungry. We were then made to feel that they were closing as they were going around the tables doing those end of evening things, which made us uncomfortable as we were still enjoying drinks and a chat. I went inside to pay as by then everyone seemed to have disappeared inside and asked for the bill, which i paid by card. The card reader did that add a gratuity thing and so I did, of eight pounds, but messed up the input which cam up as 8 pence. The transaction was voided and I did it again, and the barman did not once say that service at 10% was already on the total. That was wrong of him as it was clear that I was unaware and he deliberately seemed to omit the fact. All in all, even without the double service, it was an expensive and very average meal, soured by the double service charge that was obtained in at best, a sleezy way. We won 't be returning. When I got home, I ate again!!"
