"My recent visit to this restaurant with friends was very disappointing. We used to be regular customers when we lived nearby, but now that we’ve moved away, we thought we would come back for the amazing food we remembered. Unfortunately, the service was slow and our plates were not cleared between the main course and dessert. Despite only a few other tables being occupied and enough staff, the service was still lacking. The carbonara was average and the cheesecake was almost frozen in the middle and lacked flavor. The menu hinted at a change in ownership, and after reading other reviews, it’s clear that this has not been a positive change for the restaurant’s reputation, quality, and service. The offer of 2 courses for £15 or £19, depending on the time, was misleading as we were not informed that it only applied to a starter and main course, resulting in a higher bill than expected. There was no explanation or apology given for the oversight. The food was okay, but not worth the price. It’s a shame because we had spoken highly of this restaurant to friends and family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Despite the good company we had, we won't be returning. It’s unfortunate as there are few places in Nairn that maintain a good standard for evening meals. Service: Dine-in Meal Type: Dinner Price Per Person: £30-40 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

Service was good, very friendly. Roast was very good the veg were seasoned perfectly and a size of a portion was good. I'd only roast the potatoes to get a crispier skin. A side of horseradish sauce would make it perfect. Desert (apple tart) was a bit lazy but all ice cream we tried were fantastic! Kid friendliness: A good selection of tasty kids food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sunday Roast Beef

The staff at this restaurant were friendly and the setting was pleasant and clean. However, I found the food to be average and, in my opinion, overpriced. While £17 would be a fair price for a generous portion of delicious food, I felt that the portion of fish and chips I received was small and lacking in flavor, especially considering we were in a coastal area. Overall, I would rate the service a 3 out of 5, with the atmosphere also earning a 3. The price per person for a dinner meal ranged from £20-30.

The restaurant offers good food at prices that are typical for the area. Like many other places in the area, the wine is a bit on the expensive side. The restaurant was always busy when I was there, but the staff did a great job and the food came out quickly. I really enjoyed the bao bun starter, it was very tasty. For my main dish, I had the seafood platter. It was a bit heavy on the batter and portion size, but the chowder was the standout dish. I would recommend this restaurant and I plan on going back again. The service was dine-in and the meal type was dinner. The price per person was between £40-50. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 4 out of 5. I recommend tryi...

We came here based on the good reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. Neither the food nor the ambience convinced us and was mediocre at best. We found the waiter to be arrogant. What really annoyed us was that we wanted onion rings instead of French fries (chips) and the waitress pointed out to us that this costs an extra charge. What we weren 't told was that we had to pay in full for the onion rings as a side dish and therefore it wasn 't just an extra charge. We therefore paid 8 pounds for 2 x 5 onion rings instead of an extra charge and the omission of the French fries was not taken into account. When billing, we were presented with the bill from the next table, which was about 50...

I thoroughly enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere. It misses out on 5 stars as it is understaffed and we had to wait to be seated even when the establishment only had 3 tables in use. So when it gets busy I can see they would struggle. We loved the beers and selection of food on offer, the service was lovely. The food was worth the wait and was cooked fresh. We noted online that some people had said their's had been reheated/or/microwaved. Ours was not, it was way above average and tasty. Portion size was average but not under. We did have to chase to pay as the person at the bar was on the phone a lot. It made ordering extra drinks and a pudding difficult hence the four star rating so w...
