"Booked Sunday lunch for two The food was excellent Service at the beginning was super but then dropped off after the meal was served Just a small niggle knowing it could have been so much better Being asked if we needed anything like another drink and finished plates cleared away we sat looking at empty plates for a long time. The table next to ours had to go to the bar to get a drink. Not major but needs addressing. Most important part is the food which was very tasty piping hot We both had the set Sunday lunch One beef which was succulent served pink, mine was turkey which was just as good with a pig in blanket and stuffing. Both served with cream and roast potatoes, baby glazed carrot mixed greens and a wicked cauliflower cheese and delicious gravy. There are other options on the menu. We finished off with a scrumpy desert of sticky toffee pudding with raisin ice cream home made brandy snap and a puree of something, not sure of what possibly raisin or date. All of the meal was very good We recommend you try it for yourself. "We had the best stay at Laceby manor in the Rose lodge. The cabin was perfect for our 4 night stay. The fridge-freezer was stocked with Milk and ice, the cupboards with tea/coffee/sugar (and biscuits! ideal for us as we arrived late with no shopping and could still enjoy a morning coffee! The hot tub was checked every morning with no disruptions and the entire site was impeccably clean. We enjoyed a complimentary round of golf on the spectacular course, and had dinner in the Oak room which was equally stunning. We spent hours looking for the perfect luxury cabin holiday and Laceby Manor was exactly what we hoped for. We are very much looking forward to returning in the new year!"

"My village pub but not been in for a good few months. Had a meal here for my partners birthday last night. Easy to book via the website, requested a table we liked no problem. Staff very friendly, prompt service and food was excellent. It is a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but often you get what you pay for and the food they serve here is not your usual 'pub grub ', it is high end restaurant quality and worth the extra cost. I had calamari to start and partner had chilli and lime jumbo prawns, then hamburger and hand cut chips, it was delicious, partner had the mixed seafood meat paella which was lovely. Very good portions. Usually quiet in the week around 5-6pm busy on Sundays and booking needed. Try it here you won 't be disappointed. Recommend it highly."

"Attended a family wedding here recently. The restaurant, the location and the facilities were top notch, I think you would have to work hard to improve on what they have achieved here. However, the bar staff in the first floor function suite leave much to be desired ! Their attitude and reaction to the wedding guests during the wedding reception and evening event should definatly be improved ! It began with the sullen faces of the waiting staff during the reception , most should learn how to smile only one lady waitress blonde hair new starter was polite and smiled give her a job in staff training We asked for a bread roll during lunch, to be told, only for guests who have ordered soup ! Eventually after asking again they brought two over for the brides father... The evening event was a challenge when we struggled to understand why the part bottles of wine had disappeared from the table, when most of the guests were drinking spirits and beer etc. The penny , or should I say the C £17,000 dropped when the waitresses were removing full glasses of drinks from the table without checking! When challenged , the nonchalant response was to place the drinks back on the table and march off like petulant teenager! Our dismay was amplified the following day during a conversation with the restaurant manager told us , that 's what we do, If you need to keep your opened bottles of wine on the table you need to let us know , otherwise they will be removed! oh, so the wine is cleared along with the newly poured drinks too then? I don 't think we, or anyone else we know have ever been to a restaurant and even thought to tell the waiting staff not to take the half bottles of wine away before they have been emptied ? This usual practice was not discussed when we booked ! A cynic could suspect they re sell the newly recovered wine by the glass. This said, the manager did compensate with two bottles of the brides choice , so thanks for recognising the issue. But please consider NOT removing part bottles etc without checking in the first place."
