well organized and proper breakfast, with high quality local sausage. a small digital gloom, but cloud wifi ok in the bar. a star for no breakfast 9 o'clock, although a bit hard.

The barn room had a unique charm and was incredibly cozy. The food was delightful, and the hosts were very welcoming. We also enjoyed watching the sunset in the garden, which provided a stunning backdrop. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location all as 5 out of 5.

This is the perfect pub, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food is excellent, and there's a fantastic selection of drinks. The rooms are very clean and located away from the main building, providing a nice sense of privacy. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a good time!

Unfortunately didnt get to eat in here. Entered during quiz night or bingo... Can't remember what the barman said but it was packed full of people, food service had ended early that day and it felt warming and welcoming. Unfortunately we came on the off chance without a booking for food and got unlucky. Looking forward to going back, will plan soon.

The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent (I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips and the full English breakfast in the morning), and it's very dog-friendly. The accommodations were comfortable and easy to locate, with ample parking available. The pub itself is charming, and the locals are very welcoming. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4, the service a 5, and the location a 5.

This is a beautiful and welcoming pub with a warm atmosphere, excellent staff, and great service. You can truly sense the history as soon as you walk through the door. I've visited twice over the past year while on a road trip, and it's always been a great experience. In the summer, you can enjoy sitting outside, while in the winter, there's a cozy log fire inside. It's also dog-friendly and very welcoming to visitors.

The restaurant offers a stunning view from the back, with both open and covered seating options. It’s dog-friendly both indoors and outdoors, creating a cozy atmosphere inside. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu was straightforward yet excellent, and the food presentation was delightful. There’s also a great selection of high-quality drinks that perfectly complement the gastronomy. I wish I had stayed longer instead of driving off!

What can I say about the Engine Inn it’s a fantastic pub that does the most amazing food. Mark is behind the bar with the lovely barmaid Anna they really do make you feel so very welcome. You won’t see to much of the chef Jon but if you have anything to eat you will taste the best home cooked comfort food around. The bedrooms if you stay are out of this world with views that are just as spectacular all in all a great place to visit and your first visit will not be your last. Enjoy this great pub I did.
