"So I arrived with my wife as a birthday treat at approx 12.30. We were welcomed in as we arrived even though we hadn’t booked a table. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink and my wife had a small glass of fizz to celebrate. When the menu arrived we thought not to have a starter as we were both wanting the roast dinner and if we had room a nice pud and coffee to finish off. When our food came it wasn’t what we were expecting. Most of the plate was full of red and green cabbage with only a couple of small roasties?? The meat was tasty but not much plated. Anyway we skipped ordering desert because the coffee machine wasn’t working and settled with a shell garage meal deal for the way home.overpriced if I’m honest and hate leaving hungry! £46 for a small roast and drink is disappointing. Hotel highlights: Great view"

"Food was lovely and totally different . Had spice but it complemented the dish rather than take away from it. Def will be going back. Staff friendly. Vegetarian options: A lot of choice for vegetarians. Even fussy ones like me Parking: Very small car park opposite the restaurant but if there is pilgrimage at st Winifred’s well no hope of parking. "The Ship Inn, locally known as The Gletch has been taken over by new landlord and lady. It offers a friendly traditional style pub with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Darren, the land lord will be happy to tell you the history of pub 's local name if you ask. The pub offers all the amenities of a traditional pub, whilst not forgetting the 21st century needs of satellite TV for all the big sporting events. Recently opened for Sunday lunch only both in the pub and available as a takeaway. The takeaway, quite a unique feature for a traditional Sunday Lunch. Still expanding and improving, Darren and Siobhan have recently included outside seating and a play area for children. Definitely worth a visit."

"Stayed at herons reach Holiday resort place a 75.00 order which was wrong ordered whole duck all the trimmings spicy box sweet and sour sauce, chips and gravy x 2 pork curry with boiled rice, special kung po Singapore fried rice. Lady on the phone even though I speak perfect English had to repeat the order 5 times and repeated all bacl to me. Order came 1 hr 40 mins later with no Singapore fried rice. When called got told I wasn't a priority I work as a delivery driver when I or the restaurant make a mistake it goes out straight away. Got told could be up to 2 hours. By a ride guy with a manc accent. Won't ever order again don't recommend ever!!!!!"

"We called in at 7:30 while driving through, having read the wonderful reviews on Google. We were both quite hungry, but as soon as we entered, the staff seemed very unfriendly and appeared displeased that we were there. We were informed that only chips were available since they were closing soon, even though they didn’t close until 8:30! The chips we received were not fresh and were quite oily, which resulted in an upset stomach for me all night! As for parking, there was no place to park, making it a challenging location to navigate. Overall, the service was limited to takeout."
