"We phoned the week before and arranged for a table to be reserved for our party of ladies for mid afternoon. When we arrived our table was ready and waiting for us and there was plenty of napkins and cutlery available, The waitress promptly arrived and took our drink orders whilst we waited for another member of our group. After delivering the drinks to the table, she took our food orders and our fish, chips and peas arrived very promptly with little dishes of tartare sauce as an extra The fish was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and we hope to go back again with a larger group of ladies next time."

You won’t be disappointed this is the best chips I’ve had in years. Only been here twice and both times the food has been amazing.

Woman waiter very rude, asked if we were on a budget when we asked for glass of tap water. I am outraged at this behaviour from a member of staff and quite frankly she should be sacked immediately.

Unreal chips perfectly cooked. The battered sausage was cooked to perfection with a perfect crispy batter. The curry sauce was perfectly flavoured and warm and was really nice. The price was right and would happily go back again. Visualizza piatti

Heard a lot about this place and was really impressed, fantastic service and staff and beautifully cooked Haddock , the family went very conventional pudding chips and gravy and of course mushy peas , quite simply if you are in the area or at Stockport County away just go . I’m

I waited in line for a long time until the restaurant opened at 4:30pm. When I finally got home, I found that the chips were completely disgusting. They tasted rancid, like they had been reheated from earlier in the day. It's a shame because this place used to be a good chip shop.

Ordered steak pie and chips, both were stale beyond belief. Chips were probably fresh a day ago, I honestly could not eat them, disgusting. Could only eat the centre of the pie as the crust was too hard to cut through, had obviously been sitting there all day, will never visit again and would not recommend. Visualizza piatti

When George previously visited this restaurant, it was fantastic. However, when we went last week and ate in, we found that the fries had a strange smell, appearance, and taste (suggesting that the oil needed to be changed). It is very expensive to dine in at this restaurant, possibly due to recent renovations. I have never been to a fish and chip shop as costly as this one.

As a long-time loyal customer, I must say that the quality of the food at this restaurant has noticeably declined. The chips are frequently overcooked and inedible, and it seems to be a common issue on most of my recent visits. A friend of mine, who used to visit regularly, has stopped going for this reason. It's a shame because the food used to be good, but now the slow service and poor quality have become major concerns.
