The Go Down Restaurant

the 3-course menu-fixed and it was a huuuge amount of food! also the dishes were well presented and they could feel and see the care in every detail, although it was a solid menu. very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

exceptional. the duck was boiled to perfection and the sauce was one of the best things I tasted in a long time. the set menu is excellent. High-end kitchens to moderate trips. the cook/cook was friendly and came out to welcome us. they wait with the workers were professional and attentive.

Really wonderful little spot! Very friendly staff, and the food was delicious! The mushroom risotto and lamb shepherds pie were so awesome and savory! Prices reasonable. excellent restaurant great eating beautiful location staff was friendly and very professional, just a problem in the night we went that the 23. dezember was the last, they closed after 25 years due to health reasons, great loss to york as one of the best restaurants,wish them all the best in the future

I have already eaten twice in go down in york, once for the mother's day, which was a three cure meal and was amazing and a very good price for the quality of the food. we then went for an early bird special and had the same delicious eating at a fantastic price. the food is fabulous and the service is second to none I definitely return as I live in york, there are many restaurants in york, but this is my opinion the best.

I've wanted to eat here for years, but never got round to it so my husband booked for our anniversary. It was so worth the wait. The service was some of the best I've experienced, so friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. I had black pudding to start and lamb for my main. My starter was huge, it would have done me as a main course, and delicious. But the lamb, oh my goodness. Cooked to perfection, it melted in my mouth and was so flavoursome. I can't wait to go back.

the meal, service and price met the place my black pudding, black escalope and sticky toffee pudding were all great. sublime sauces were in each cure the standout. attentive and friendly waiters did not bother but came at the right moment. and the price nearly 45 pfund for two. really good. if I had a complaint, I would say that the kartoffels were overdue, but it did not distract from the entire experience. the restaurant was not busy when I left what a shame more people should go definitiw! I was very happy with my visit and would be more than happy if I were in york next time.

Fantastic food. Proper Yorkshire food with a twist. Delicious deserts the creme brulee was just the best end to a fantastic meal. The service was on point. Attentive not other enthusiastic and friendly. The owners show their love of the food the ambience and entertaining. Excellent setting down to the cook books on the shelf in the corner and the beautiful ladies powder room. Loved our experience here,it wasn't just a meal but an experience celebrating our anniversary. Definitely will come back with friends and family. Just wish they did wedding catering because the black pudding starter is definitely something I want for my wedding breakfast and I'm a vegetarian. Visualizza piatti
