"The service was five stars and you couldn't find fault with the staff, everyone was very polite and friendly and very attentive. it was a lovely atmosphere just what you want from a rural pub. The only downside is the entrees was just about average but the deserts where all home-made even the custard which definitely scored some more points."

visit the family for the new year and had a fabulous lunch here. the personal is so welcoming and excellent. very recommended the lachsfilet on crushed kartoffeln. delicious. highly recommended

Sadly the Sunday roast dinner was poor. We both had the beef, with each receiving one inedible slice and one delicious. Roast potatoes were so overcooked they would have broken the floor if dropped.

Superb meal last Saturday to the extent we were back this evening. Dishes are a cut above pub-grub but excellent value. Recommend; Scallops with crab risotto and Duck breast with Dauphinoise potatoes.

10/10 pub. Spent the weekend in the area and we came back here every night. Great atmosphere, food (home made steak pie and the fish and chips were delicious) and friendly people were the real highlight!!

Visited The Grapes twice this week. A lovely warm and welcoming pub, the staff and other local people in the bar were so friendly. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. A 10/10 from me and well worth a visit.

Nice quiet local pub. The friendly staff managed to fit us in at the end of the sitting for Sunday lunch which was amazing. Beef filled Yorkshire pudding to start, roast pork with all the trimmings. Really good find off the beaten path.

Having a trip down memory lane. Used to go here for Sunday lunch many years ago as a child. Same cosy pub, obviously new owners both very welcoming. The food was fabulous I had the chicken in mushroom sauce my partner had a steak. Would highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely phenomenal food in a lovely local village pub. I was happy to sit down to a three course meal of modern pub food with the perfect amount of adaptation. The staff were lovely and friendly and we got to enjoy a traditional country pub atmosphere. PS. Plenty of parking and good drinks choices.
