"Nice food and really nice surroundings. I would have rated it higher, but we sat in a very sunny day in a window and they could not be pulled down. We finally opened a window and made it bearable. I know it's hard to predict the weather at this time of the year and you want to let the sunshine in, but I didn't think the waiting staff was really interested when we said we were really uncomfortable. Maybe we didn't order enough wine for it? I will try again, but it will be if I can sit outside to eat or in the evening. The menu is interesting, the food was well cooked and well represented, although the chips were a bit strange, maybe reheated. Great part for frying and good steaks."

A lovely spot for a pre wedding family get together . Enjoyed a drink in the bar and then some excellent steaks and lobster. A great place to start our celebrations.

Exceeded expectations Sunday lunch had traditional roast beef and trimmings quality of food and cooking quite exceptional. Pleasant, efficient, friendly staff. Excellent.

WE love the Green Man and visit often. The service is always very friendly and polite. Food excellent, with the choice at lunchtime of a la carte, lunch menu, and tapas. Great choice of wines, just perfect.

We've been here 6 or 7 times and find it recently not quite as good as 18 months ago. It seems there is now often a private party going on at weekends, which has led to the service for other diners being reduced and the increased noise level making it quite hard to be heard. The food is very good but the menu would benefit from a few new additions or specials being offered. Miss the lobster!
