"Popped in for lunch (we hadn't booked, but luckily, we got a table as someone was just leaving), so booking may be advisable... the menu is Greek, Eastern Mediterranean, Turkish, Moroccan ... loads of interesting sharing plates, all sounding delicious! They offer 4 for £22, 5 for £26... which was plenty for 3 of us at lunchtime. Can reccomended the lemon chicken skewers, lamb kofta, feta and spinach samosas, stuffed vine leaves and tzatziki/pitta.... all excellent flavours! Will definitely be going again soon! Vegetarian options: Excellent selection of vegan and veggie options. Parking: Not easy to find parking unless you go into the mall car park across the road... its on a busy corner on Whitley Bay, but definitely still worth a persevering. "tonight for lunch, the wobbly bhaji with the curry mayo omg had totally amazing! followed by serrano ham, mozzarella and tomaten sourdough panini with a side of salt and chili fries that was delicious. hubby had the lamb meatballs he also said was big, but our friend wasn't too sure on the huge cousin. also buttermilk chicken was ordered and no complaining there. too full for pudding, so bought a take-off chocolate brownie that my son had. a great new place to eat in shields will definitely be back at an evening to taste the dinner menu. can take own wein etc, which is fab! great service from the personal"

"We hadn't visited this restaurant in a couple of years and had good memories of it being a special place (we had brought guests here as it was at the top of our list of local restaurants), but our recent experience this week was disappointing. The staff member who greeted us at the door seemed disinterested in being at work, showing no signs of friendliness or engaging in any conversation throughout the evening, including when we paid the bill. First impressions are important. Unfortunately, the food was also lacking. Although the menu descriptions were intriguing with a variety of options, none of our appetizers or main dishes stood out - where were the promised flavors? Bruschetta without garlic or basil? Overall, the food was just "okay" but not worth the price. It seemed like cheap ingredients were used and corners were cut to save money. The restaurant still has a nice ambiance and I'm sure it's lively on weekends, but this historic place deserves better. We will be exploring other dining options in the future. It's a shame, as this restaurant has the potential to be truly special."

"The restaurant has a relaxed casual atmosphere and offers good deals on cocktails. The tapas portions were excellent and generous. What will definitely make us return is the fact that it is dog friendly and they even provide Geordie Banger sausages for all three dogs! The service, food, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. The average price per person is between £10-20 for a meal type other than dining in."

"Average bar service, unfortunately, my rare beef salad was so overpowered by the pickled cabbage, I couldn't taste the salsa verde, even the chilli, I wouldn't have to write this review, but when I explained this to the lady serving us, she said it's a personal preference that's that. I would think on a customer service level she would at least say thanks for your feedback and I will let the chef know. would have been polite and I was listened to, for the critique of my dining experience. I don't think the staff care to much about what comes out on service and are more interested in chatting to the boys at the bar, my table was from around 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday 4th Feb 23, I don't think I will be returning. The runner buss boy was very good and he listened more than the girl staff chatting at the bar."
