The Kindling Club were treated to a wonderful night at The Half Moon, superb friendly staff and hospitality. The Beer, Tetleys was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed a great atmosphere, and look forward to our next visit.

Had Sunday lunch here with family warm welcome and efficient service, perfect seating location and exceptional food lamb dinner, turkey dinner, nut roast and no meat alternatives. Delicious desserts! Will definitely come again!

Two filet steaks with garnish, chips and a lovely sauce of your choice, a bottle of house wine, £40 ! Absolutely brilliant! Great service , good beers, lovely dining room, you just can't fault it. Highly recommended, we will be back soon. Thank you.

Our first visit, first impressions were the decor was smart and pleasant. the food was home Cooked and well presented and there served proper taste chips. the restaurant manager was charming . A pleasant experience, highly recommend, will definitely be going again.

A brilliant place for a family meal. Staff not phased at all by our rather loud family and friends party, everything really efficient and just well run. And the food is glorious the substantial fish platter was incredible and the local steak to die for. Our conservation group celebrated Christmas and our 30th anniversary with an excellent lunch for 16 of us in n the Half Moon. Marcus and his team were very welcoming and we enjoyed a range of dishes from the menu. The pies, fish and chips and sea bass were all cooked well and nicely presented, while the desserts were very tempting. Everybody commented that they would go back separately.

I have been a regular at this pub for a few years and the food used to be exceptional when Zeiki was in charge. However, recently with the new chefs, the quality of the food has declined. The staff are still excellent and provide great service, but unfortunately, the food is not up to its previous standard. I may have to skip this place for a while, which is disappointing because we used to dine here several times a month. Hopefully, they can address this issue and improve. When Zeiki is in the kitchen though, the food is definitely 5-star.

Celebrating a family birthday. Nine adults three children. Sunday afternoon. Running a bit late with food but hey ho that is not a big problem just another drink. Table ready one of the couples has a prior appointment so their order was taken first and put through with the children's order, took no time at all so happy bunnies. The menu was very extensive for a Sunday lunch time so a lot of decisions to be made. Best to browse on line before you go. Starters half of the adults went for garlic mushrooms the other half prawn cocktail. Mains divided between the lamb beef and steak and ale pie.
