This pub is said to be the oldest in Looe, according to the landlord, and it certainly has a great vibe with its low wooden beams and quaint little windows. This is the best pub on the tranquil side of Looe. They serve genuine ales and are dog-friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

A very atmospheric inn with low beam ceilings. There is a more lively bar area and a more quiet, spacious room to the right. It welcomes children and dogs. We only stopped in for a drink.

Where do I start? Lovely, old pub,run by a lovely family. Good accommodation, beers etc. Excellent food. Friendly service by Friendly staff. Feel at home here. Easy access to local amenities. Excellent all round. Highly recommended. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

The lady behind the bar was very friendly, but I found the bald-headed man to be quite abrupt. I tried to discuss the history of the inn, which dates back to 1516, but I found it difficult to have a conversation with him, especially considering it's the oldest inn in Cornwall. Overall, I'd rate the service a 4.
