"today visited for kunch. we (ni) are just out at the moment. inside ordered and food ready to order. there are several vegan options fry, one pot, porridge, avo toast and a countless cake. I asked if the frit was fried (yes really) and they were happy to grill some items and use minimal oil. it was soou yummy. we went to cs Lewis Square and I ate my fry', cherry and almond-roibus tea and a corner of my man's carrot cake. he had the one-pot with sourded. his coffee was good and there were four vegetable milk options. they also make a vegan afternoon tee that needs to be ordered the day before. I have to think of a reason to try. try again. friendly, helpful staff."

a good place in East-Belfast, not many other good vegan options in the opposite. the vegan fry up was very delicious, and the coffee is also good.

Absolutely Gorgeous. The atmosphere is very welcoming, looks like being in Narnia. Very well decorated. The food is incredible!! Never had a Rubarb compote and custard cream french toast, and it's a great combination, especially with the toasted granola over the top. The scone was amazing as well.

Love this place been a couple of times now for brunch. Great vegan menu. The food is fresh and tasty there's a good selection. Lovely cakes and buns and good choice of teas etc. Also do afternoon tea which I'm planning on doing soon. I loved the decor which is based on the CSLewis Narnia books. The staff are lovely helpful and friendly and its dogs friendly what's not to love.

I absolutely loved this little caffe. one of my favorite things was the old music game. it really helped to set the mood. the facility was whimsical and pretty, and the staff was great. I got the French toast and enjoyed it, as well as a really nice scoone. Whether they want to take something or sit in, I would definitely recommend to come here. especially if they are a cs lewis fan.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."

"I'm an American. I was invited to work at the queen’s university in a global conference. my airline has moved my baggage, so I stopped in the barking dog to use her wlan to check the status of my baggage and have a drink and a snack with my associate who has unusual allergies. the menu had nothing to call us, so we have decided to finish and move only our drinks./ at no point has anyone informed that it is illegal to have only drinks, and our server ran our review without mentioning any legal requirements. After I paid, someone who I suspect, the manager, came to the table and checked our reception. exactly what I thought was what they said before they cheated on me how it is illegal to buy drinks in a restaurant without eating. I apologised and explained that I had no warning. I offered to buy food retroactive and they refused. then they repeated that I was in a restaurant and not in a pub and that my activities were illegal. they denied my multiple attempts to apologise me while I explained that I am not out of the opposite. this experience was very confusing for me, because the night before me had drinks in a restaurant without food and it was no problem. in any case I was told that there is no such law and that the ordering of drinks without eating in a restaurant is very common. I've never been treated so badly in a customer service dynamic and I'm not sure why this happened. I feel targeted and totally mistreated for what does not seem to be a good reason. To finish it, it was my birthday. complete error in the name of what this person was. I will say the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating."
