Very friendly place and dog friendly Loads of food on menu and offer carvery very nice seating area outside so be nice summer time

Came in for a carvery with my family was a brilliant experience food was hot and fresh. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to returning

we recently came here for a meal was excellent service of laura behind the bar served our drinks very polite and attentive beautiful warm atmosphere will be definitiw back

Nipped in on a whim,didnt expect the friendly warm welcome we received on arrival the big carvery chef couldn't do enough to help,even getting us soft roast potatoes to suit our taste...food was beautiful hot an homely,staff where attentive and friendly even when they was...at there busiest...great atmosphere,great staff lovely food highly recommend,will definitely be calling again.

We booked in for a family Birthday celebration. There was 10 in our party, ages from 12, to 73 years of age. Everyone enjoyed their meal, which varied from the carvery to a mixed grill. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening and well worth the money ! A special mention must go to the two young ladies, Olivia and Ashleigh who were on duty. They couldn't have been more helpful or a credit to the company ! We will call again soon !

From walking into the pub had to wait to be served,no problem with waiting. When served told bar person that I had booked a table. We were escorted to table 21 which still had plates on it. Plates cleared and napkins left on table not even wiped down we waited for our order. After a while meals were served with cold chips . Would I use this place again ? NOT A CHANCE. It seems that this pub just focuses on the quick money maker called a carvery which we did not have.

I haven’t visited lock keeper in a while and thought it would be nice for me and my dad to come here for a change well staff was nice but the food was poor had starters they were nice but then the food come out whilst we was still eating starters? It felt like we was being rushed. Then the food was cold there were no staff around to tell had no check back or anything won’t be returning unfortunately the fish was also awful loads of batter hardly no fish ended up leaving it

Lovely visit to the lock keeper this week, carvery was beautiful, each time we've visited the past 3 months it gets better each time, would live to see onion gravy though if ever you look at changing the menu. The staff were so lovely and...welcoming, we didn't feel rushed, even stayed for dessert when we were told about the 2 cakes offer they have. We would really reccomend the lock keeper, the manager nathan we had a chat with was also lovely, seems very passionate and it shows in his wonderful team.

Book a table here for 1.30 pm today on there web site arrived on time one person behind the bar in a queue of 4 people who could only make 1 coffee or tea at a time when it was my turn told her l had book a table she told me sit where you want , what’s the point of a booking system? Paid for 2 carvery 30% off there special offer had to wait another 5 minutes before chef appeared the meat was dry after being under the lights so long and most of the other vegetables were cool and roast potatoes were cold when we finished eating the duty manager came and collected the plates we complained about how cold and dry the food was she said l will have a word with the chef and get back to you after 20...
