"This is a great independent restaurant in a town full of the same old boring chain names. The menu choices were just right and the food was excellent. The staff were very nice and looked after us very well. Had a chat with Andrew the Chef at the end of the evening and wish him all the best. The Scullery is now our go to restaurant in Stratford."

"Lovely evening with friends and loved ones. Meat and cheese board was delicious, service a little slow considering the place wasn't busy but I guess that gave us time to enjoy the company and the evening. Would 100% go back. "This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly.
