"It was our first visit to the restaurant. We was very lucky as we walked in and got the last table. Next time we will definately book. The Sunday lunch is the best one I've had at a restaurant in about 5 years. The beef was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. My son had the turkey and my daughter had the pork; all cooked equally good. All veg is fresh and the puddings are all fluffy. The deserts were also devine, as was the coffee..... Its fairly priced and all staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant is an old converted Mill of the black monks and is located across the road from the Monk Bretton Priory which is free to walk around. It's clean and cosy, with historical information. It's just perfect. We will definately return."

Last night and eating was absolutely beautiful. starter, head and dessert were perfect, we had to finish the caramel crumbs and it tasted beautiful. in the minute it is 25% off Wednesdays and Thursdays, so for 5 alcholic drinks and three curs meals it came only £52. can not wait to go again!

First time we've been here since it reopened and will definitely be going back. Warm welcome from Lee and our waitress Shannon. Lee knows the history of the building and is very informative. Atmosphere is amazing and furniture fittings are in keeping with the building. The food was gorgeous and can't wait to go back

This is such a lovely place. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food as delicious and there are a wide range of drinks. The service is great and it is a very clean place. I have visited several times and always enjoyed it, there is a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend you visit!

Absolutely!!! Hands down!! Amazing!! Very interesting and historic. The food is next level amazing!! No word of a lie! This is the best place in Barnsley for me! Can't fault it at all... Customer service is top notch! I'd recommend, the rib eye steak... The halloumi burger with chilli jam... The brie starter... The list is endless for me. Everything is always fresh too, I love this place! LOVE IT!!!
