"What can I say. The Oak is everything you want from a country pub. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. We went there as they clearly marked VE and GF food on their menus, something a lot of other pubs need to start to do. Easily the best pub food we've had in the area for a while. Beer battered fish and chips, super crispy batter, proper pub chips, seafood linguine hoovered up almost instantly, chicken tikka masala and the vegan burger all excellent. Empty plates all round. We sat in the garden but inside looked really nice as well. We will be back."

another very nice meal with friends in the oak. we expected a Sunday roast after the Sunday menu, but the only available bread cake was a Christmas roast with all that trim! had enough Christmas dinner thanks so that was disappointing. However, the alternatives on the menu and the specials were very good and for missing traditional Sunday roasting. great service of very friendly staff. many thanks. I'll see you soon.
