"Today I came to this institution in a good mood. A cute girl met me at the bar and it was very nice to talk to her. When I decided to order food, I was served by another waitress, she was displeased and showed her bad mood with all her expressions, but the worst thing that happened was that she almost cheated me for £20 and when I came to check everything again, she didn't again added £1. The situation is terrible, I will never come here again and I will not recommend it to anyone."

Excellent town centre pub, great spot to go for after work drinks. Lots of space inside and great selection of drinks. Also has a nice garden to the rear. Often has live sports on too. Visualizza piatti

Great atmosphere, lovely staff and always get service with a smile! Staff also love to have a joke which is nice. Food is well priced and the spicy wings are amazing! Good ales and draught lagers/ciders.

Came to the old bank for the 1st time and will unfortunately not be returning. The manager Gail is rude and unreasonable and any communication with her is met with barks and rudeness. The food is so so. A warm welcome was definitely not received

Lovely pub normally but after 2 pints with friends was asked to leave for the safety of the staff and patrons un provoked I've left my friends inside disgusting behaviour when I asked why they couldn't give a response for a similar atmosphere and simular price I highly recommend the sutton Arms Visualizza piatti

I was made welcome on my first visit like I was a local, the staff are chatty and engaging, and always say good dye. There is a selection of real ales, which are always fresh. The food is chain food but it is good and well priced as is the beer. Ales are on special Tuesdays. If you are a sports fan, the are big screen TVs showing the big showings..

Staff need to get some customer service skills and a smile! Gail was rude throughout the whole time we were there and seemed to have no desire to help when approached with the many issues we encountered in the very short time we were there. After finishing our very below par food we left as there was no reason to stay where we didn't feel welcome. Very disappointed and will not be visiting again.

"amazing sushi! had sashimi, sushi and eal rice dish. I came in for dine in, but it's clearly a takeaway. Also for dine in you need to add extra 20% VAT, government regulation. next time will do delivery, great food, reasonable price and lovely staff. "Recently opened fish bar which has the usual offerings that people look for. Only wrote this review because the menu states Welcome to the home of the best fish and chips in South London My experience would lead me to dispute this. I have no complaints about portion size which was generous for both my cod and my chips. However I found the chips to be on the soggy side of crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle The cod was sheathed in a very good looking crisp batter but this was very greasy and I felt the fish was somewhat overcooked having little substance or structure to it. Perhaps the freezing process had caused that. I do not know. Anyway it was a Monday so that 's never good for fish. There is a better shop a short drive from me in Carshalton but this is within walking distance so I will return and try again. I do hope not to be quite as disappointed next time."

"I visited my elderly Mum today, she suggested going to the Derby Arms for a roast dinner as she'd eaten there recently with my sister. However they were fully booked, so I looked online and found Galu. The reviews were great and my Mum has only ever heard good things from friends and neighbours. So I called and booked for 12:45 Sunday 21st Jan 2024. We were both pleasantly surprised to see roast dinners on the menu ... Mum order lamb and I ordered beef part of their set menu. When the dinners arrived, you could see straight away that the lamb was Very Fatty (not even crispy) when my my tried eating it, it was both tough and chewy! As for the beef, this was cooked ok and edible, although I asked for the beef to be medium, but it was more well done. The waiter came over to ask if the meal was ok, I highlighted how the lamb was... the manager then came over and offered my Mum a slice of beef to compensate, bearing in mind she ordered lamb. Mum subsequently found that some of her roast potatoes were hard inside! I finished my meal, but could see Mum really didn't enjoy hers leaving a substantial amount on her plate, and having tried her lamb it really was inedible! We were then offered a full list of desserts rather than the set menu, having chocolate brownie and creme brûlée (both were gorgeous) When the bill arrived, I was hoping they would have somehow made amends, but alas no ... as Mum doesn't like to cause a fuss and it was her treat, I decided not to say anything, although the staff manager could tell we weren't happy. Having come from East Sussex for the day and regularly have great Sunday roasts in local pubs, I was hoping for something special in this restaurant, but sadly that wasn't the case. In fact it's probably one of the worst roast dinners I've had in a long time. I very much doubt we'll return ..."

"In my earlier visit, the food was truly excellent, and the manager took the time to chat with me. However, I noticed that no one mentioned the loyalty program. I found the display and the card only after we had already spent £50, which was disappointing. Additionally, while discussing my experience, the manager brought up an inexperienced employee who was just a couple of feet away behind the bar. It's frustrating when points aren't recognized, especially when there should be better communication among staff. Overall, it's a great place to eat, but there are some areas for improvement in customer service."
