"WOW. I am in catering business front of house mainly Michelin star restaurant and 5 star establishments, but the fish and chips at this place is the best ever. 10 out of 5. The batter was perfect. Crispy no excess oil or bad oil smell. The thin fries was also the same. Beautifully cooked with no oil again. Crispy thin fries perfectly. The peas, the fish batter and the fries was perfectly seasoned. Just enough. The home made tartar sauce had the right balance of acidity because of the right quantity of ingredients. The fish felt like it was caught that morning. The flaky fish was cooked through with perfect moisture so opaqu. Just as it should be. The chef who worked on Sunday Lunch 4 PM should get a raise or recommendation. Excellent job you can see the passion it was made with. Why mention all this? While this is what the regular guest should receive but in most places there is just no care going into these simple dishes. Service was great. I was acknowledged and greeted when walking in. I was served politely. If in the neighbourhood, will not go anywhere else."

This pub had nice outside seating at the back. The fish and chips were yummy, with the fish cooked to perfection. The waiter, Dexter, was so friendly and helpful.

beautiful interieur and a large beer garden behind the house so that they are not here traffic from the main road. the beer selection also includes international beer. faster helpful service. I want to come back when the kitchen is open, which was not the case when I was there on a weekday afternoon.

Stylish and friendly pub. We sat in the garden with the dog as it was a lovely day. Delicious duck salad with fries. I really like the beach huts which are a brilliant idea if its damp. Inside is very well done too. Highly recommended. Probably worth walking up if you've left your car at the beach, having lunch and going back down, in view of the £7 parking charge!! I recently moved to West Wittering this winter, and I find it to be a very welcoming place, albeit a bit quiet. However, there’s a charming local pub nearby that captures the essence of a “good old English” establishment. The food is enjoyable, and they serve a nice, fresh pint. For us, the lively atmosphere in the summer is a delightful experience. It’s important to support our local businesses, as they will soon face the winter lull. Let’s make the most of them!
