"Outstanding! Great welcome, casual fine dining with quality fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. Small but creative menu showcasing locally sourced produce. As others have said, without doubt this was the best meal we have eaten locally, well priced and with good filling portions. Adam, chef, and his charming wife Lesley (owners for 10 years) and the rest of their team should be proud of themselves, the bistro and of course that delicious food. Almost tempted to keep this to ourselves but that wouldn't be fair. We chose Gnocchi, Hake, sticky toffee pudding and a cheese plate. Best tasted Try it, can guarantee you will want to return!"

A lovely meal well presented , beautifully cooked. Compared to a meal of a similar price last night this was of a different standard. Service was very good too. Would definitely recommend this for friends to try and will be back if we are in the area again.

Will not disappoint… So tasty, gorgeous atmosphere, lovely outstanding Staff. The Sunday Roast is simply the best in the area, the ambience of this lovely place is just lovely, always book as limited tables. Maybe a little bit more expensive than others around Padstow but…. Delicious

The food was so good on our stay we cancelled the posh Padstow restaurant we had booked and eat here again the second night! Superb steak with perfect cooked crispy chips. The monkfish scampi tasted so good!...the next night I had the hake, very fresh, really delicious and great value!

When we arrived, we were welcomed in this quaint lovely restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and friendly couldn’t do enough for us. There was a good selection of locally produced fresh food, it was hard to make a selection off the menu. We will definitely return next time We are travelling down this way

I can see why you have to book early here, a super meal with excellent service. Food is absolutely spot on, we had duck which was cooked brilliantly, nearly all local produce and a great atmosphere combined to make this a really enjoyable dinner would highly recommend and book early if you are planning to go, you won’t be disappointed.

We chose The Old Mill Bistro for a celebration birthday meal and we are so pleased that we did! Lovely, friendly service and amazing food which was locally sourced and beautifully presented in ample portions. We had previously mentioned that 3 of us are vegetarian and the chef even added an extra option for us. It was definitely a meal to remember!

Would highly recommend. We had dinner at the Old Mill Bistro and it was without doubt the best dinner of our week in Padstow (Sorry Mr Stein! . Try the innovative katsu monkfish scampi for starters....all our fish dishes were beautifully cooked and great service. Will need to book ahead of your holiday as its a small restaurant but well worth a visit.
