"A team meal out today and The Oven was a natural choice, having been here many times before. The food is excellent and good value for money. The staff are very accommodating, friendly, and nothing is too much bother for them. I chose their signature Parmo with chips and it did not disappoint. It was lovely! It was good to see the owner milling around today and even helping his staff with the customer service, handing out food etc. The Oven in Middlesbrough is very worthy of 5 stars and is a place to put on your list to visit when in Middlesbrough."

My partner and I visited The Oven for the first time for a meal. It was a quiet Sunday evening and the service was quick and the staff were friendly. The menu had a good variety of options and the food was delicious and well presented. Overall, it was good value for money.

Tried the oven after hearing good things but have to say both my wife and I were very disappointed. The food was decidedly average, the staff were in one particular instance very rude, and the service was painfully slow. It was noticeable that other diners were equally unhappy with the service. We will not be returning.

Many thanks to the owner and his wonderful staff for looking after our party of 15 yesterday evening! The food was fabulous and all waiting staff efficient and polite. We were saying goodbye to two much loved colleagues and you all made our evening so special and one to remember….even organising a photo shoot for our group! Thank you again, you’re a great team!
