Very welcoming and friendly place and makes very good food

Fantastic food, the pasta dishes we had were delicious and arrived very quickly.

Staff were friendly and stuff, table wasn’t too sticky, but the food was terrible.

Had a 2 course lunch here. Lunchtime menu single course £7.95, two courses £9.95 Calamari was cooked well, decent size starter portion. We both had the sea bass pan fried with salad and chunky chips. Only point to be picky on was that the chips were a bit too chunky. Staff are very freindly and welcoming.

I ordered a family meal tonight, but part of the order was forgotten, and it took an hour and a half to have the missing food delivered. This is the second time this has happened. The girl on the phone didn’t offer any apologies. Overall, the service was disappointing, and the family meal was ruined—what a waste of £55.

There seemed to be a pleasant young waitress, but she never inquired about how our meal was, giving the impression that it was just a Saturday job for her, with little concern for customer satisfaction. The Yorkshire pudding was swimming in watery gravy, which one of my family members hadn’t even requested. The drinks arrived five minutes after the food, contributing to the overall poor service. To top it off, the table was sticky and grimy. It’s such a shame, but we won’t be coming back.

four of us last night have a wonderful meal for our first visit to the pfeffer mill. the staff was responsive, friendly, personal and helpful. eating was beyond my expectations: autumn off-the-bone, fleshy ripening covered with delicious and generous BBQ sauce. good size. came with a few nice french and was happy with my side of the tweeper rings; not greasy and satisfying. others with whom I was had the pizza that was homemade and quickly sworn. filled with a lotus biscoff cheesecake that is a must-have! one of my first meals in chepstow and I expect that I will come back in future with friends and family! with the COVID precautions felt safe and were not too close to any other table. Just want to say we ate on an evening busy with Christmas meals. Unfortunately a main somehow came out cold and strangely a coffee did too. Whilst the staff were great an initial offering of.... we're very busy we can't heat your food but . can give you a drink tainted the night slightly . Whilst I'm sure this probably isn't a common problem I can't In good faith recommend and wouldn't be tempted to try againin response to the owner. a tip was left as its good practice around Christmas regardless of how you fell the meal was.
