"I absolutely adore this village pub! My partner and I recently moved to the area and have been regulars since it opened under the ownership of Will and Rob. They are both so welcoming and always make our visits enjoyable. The pub has a great variety of ciders and beers on tap, as well as delicious food. I especially love their gluten-free fish and chips, and appreciate their knowledge on catering to those with coeliac disease. The menu is constantly evolving with new options, catering to vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters alike. The pub quiz, bingo, and other events they host are always a blast. I'll definitely be returning again this week."

we had a group on a voucher for this pub, we had a nice meal, very friendly and good service, we sat in the bar with a beautiful log fire! would recommend the double boiled egg for a starter.

super nice pub from the beaten track, it is worth keeping for a drink and a bite. I had a delicious sirloin and my friends had burger and filet steak. really satisfying meals with well-priced weeping and beer. recommend this place, although a very quiet night when we visited.

Since taking over at The Plough Rob and Will have restored a proper village pub to Appleton. Their welcome is always warm, the pub is fresh, clean. Doug's food is delicious and his pies are outstanding. There are a number of events that appeal to a wide range of people. Long may it continue

we bought a groupon voucher and what a small gem of a place! the price-performance ratio with the food was excellent, although not a large selection there were still many sorts to appeal to any taste. for a busy Friday night and the owners themselves wait for the tables and the cash we still serve on time. the owners are very friendly, a beautiful relaxed atmosphere with many small cubicles to an intimate dinner or chat with friends. eating was amazing! also the living labrador is beautiful. a real feeling and sense of community. I will recommend this to the family and friends and look forward to visiting another!
