"I 'm no too enamoured with establishments bribing you with discounts for 5* reviews as do Posh Fish Chips. Bit dishonest me thinks. That said...I 've made two visits to the shop on Llantrissant Road...and both times been really pleased. We like that they serve more than just cod which we 're not too fond of. We 've had both the hake and haddock... and both were excellent. They were cooked to order, in good fresh fat (no stale old fat smells wafting out the door) with a very generous helping of decent quality chips. If I 've got one niggle and that was the fat wasn 't drained enough from the fish..so ended up being slightly 'soggy ' by the time I 'd made the 2 mile journey home. However, under the grill for a couple of mins and the fish was crispened and the flavour remained excellent. So, whether on my next visit I get discount...or not, is by the way. This is a chippy I can heartily recommend. So Posh Fish Chips, cut out the bribery and continue to deliver good quality food...and we will come back."

My wife just brought home fish and chips and it was almost totally inedible. The batter and fish were under cooked. Will not return.

I won't be ordering from this company again!! The chips were so cold they had a rubbery texture to them, disgusting. Also part of our order was missing.

Honestly can’t tell you how bad these chips are ! Absolutely disgusting will never return. The annoying thing is they seriously think it’s ok to serve them. This place has definitely changed hands. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Have been going here since it opened a few years ago and have been willing to pay a premium price for a premium product. However something has changed here and it could be as simple as the frying skills. Unfortunately the batter was soggy and poor as were the chips.

Terrible experience. Chips were awful no flavour, my husband said they smelt damp!!. He and my brother had fish which they said was OK. I had the haddock fishcake, it was so dry and inedible. We were also told we had 5 minutes to finish eating as they were closing. Will not be visiting here again.

This will be the last time I use The Posh Fish and Chip Company. I've been a loyal customer for a number of years and have always enjoyed the food that they serve. I ordered a meal which was delivered to my home. The meal arrived but was missing an item. I phoned the Llantrisant Road restaurant to report this and was told that it would be passed on to a manager and the money would be refunded. I waited several days for a refund which never came. I then emailed the company to request a refund. Again, no refund. I don't know if this is just sloppy customer service or a deliberate attempt to short-change a loyal customer. Either way, I'll now vote with my feet and will use a different fish and...

This place was originally a posh fish chip shop ! Now it’s a substandard awful Poor quality take away ! Nothing posh about jt it originally opened promising to offer something special but… they really have let standards drop to sell fish this bad I ordered Hake this was NOT HAKE BUT A CHEAP ALTERNATIVE Not anything like Hake! To add salt into the wound the batter was soggy and nasty! I’m know they are offering sub standard food. This place has been taken over by someone who hasn’t a clue about good cuisine. Once presented in a cardboard box with a slice of lemon, now placed on greaseproof paper so the batter sticks to the paper and is cold ! I asked for a box and it was placed in a cheap bro...
