The Rising Sun Inn Ph

Decided to visit after seeing pictures of friends food on social media. We weren’t disappointed, the young lady who served us was lovely. The food was amazing, lovely atmosphere and plenty of it. We will definitely be returning.

an unfortunate experience not to be repeated. asked to get preorder. the mains came to a more complete confusion about the order – since waiter did not understand the nutritional needs despite the previous. black bell was excellent. risotto very under seasoned and...disappointing

Had dinner on Saturday evening having heard new owners were in place and have to say it felt like the “The Old” place again! Food was lovely, staff and service was great and the place was buzzing with busy food service and people at the...bar too..To us it was as if Mr&Mrs B were back….no higher praise in our book! Well done to all there now and we will be back again soon..have rebooked already!

she stayed here at the end of our walk and was happy to find him open. the service was very friendly and we decided to sit outside in the sun and watch the world. we just wanted to take a drink, but the menu looked really tempting. also we were to order just in time before the deadline, so we ordered an amazing sharing plate containing with debridled whitebait with tartaric acid sauce, honey and soy glazed flower cabbage and chicken bugs with a curry mayo.

post walk in quantum hills, we thought we were a cheeky fast pint. to solve what a nice pub this was, we immediately have booked a table for the evening for the whole family, from us! we come to find that we were placed in the snowy place., a nice room in the back of the pubs. service was very good and the food was exceptional. do not let them be removed from the outside of the pubs, this is a good old modelokal pub that has changed and really good pub food.

Bit disappointed. Food was OK but asked for salad instead of rice and received a bowl of only salad leaves, would of like tomatoes and cucumber as well . Not a very personal place, server's did not come and ask if everything was OK. Thry...had to double check the order and we had to ask several times for the second drink which we ordered. They also didn't believe in plates. Order came out on slate or wooden boards, I had a bowl because of the curry but not a plate on sight. Didn't feel right.

we came as a party with my sister and her family from the usa after ostar. the restaurant is very nice and welcoming and the menu suitable varied and everything we tried was delicious. the personal was friendly and helpful, despite a small mistake with some drinks; I was brought alcoholic ingwer beer instead of softdrink, but no big thing. would definitely recommend friends and family. the only negative comment I would make was that the lip on the big table we were sitting on was difficult if not impossible to get a knee under it, possibly the chairs were a bit too high. in addition, it did not spoil our joy of food and we were all very satisfied.

We were a group decimated by friends dropping out through a Winter Virus. The booking went from to in a week. We arrived for Sunday lunch having cycled miles up and down the Quantocks all Morning. A lovely welcome. Bar man was...really efficient and courteous. We were taken to our table. As we were a big group we had pre ordered. My prawn cocktail touched the spot. Fresh as a daisy. Me and my daughter had Roast Pork. We scrammed the crackling straight away. Beautifully cooked and with warm plates (a special touch for me. Hate cold food) All staff very attentive. We have moved to the area recently and were excited to have our Saturday lunch at the Rising Sun, especially that it has been recommended to us by several people. The starter was delicious and the waitresses were pleasant and polite, smiling away and making...us welcome. When my seared cod arrived, even though on the menu it listed with potatoes', there was about of a single potato cubed, hidden under fish fish and the dish was disproportionately overpowered by the salty meatiness of the cod.
