We had dinner here on our honeymoon. Beautiful view of the Portree harbor, wonderful staff, and delicious food.

We were in the bar which is very dark and has little atmosphere. Very helpful friendly bar staff Food delicious

Lovely meal and good value for money. Service was also excellent. Not the most ambient space as I was in the bar area at the top of the stairs in a dark corner but other than that, a lovely dinner

No atmosphere, overpriced and disappointing food. Style over substance and was glad to get out. Not a good dining experience Tiny portions so dont go here if you are hungry as you will be heading for a bag of chips on the way home

We enjoyed the food: I had cauliflower tacos and my husband had the chicken. The cheeseboard was a nice selection of Scottish cheeses: blue murder, Arran with mustard seeds, Clara Brie and a smoked cheese. We asked for more oatcakes and this was no problem. What let it down was the decor as the room is a fairly uninspiring beige room with little atmosphere at the top of the stairs. Staff were lovely

We went here for dinner. I think from the outside it doesn 't look very appealing but inside I really liked it, it 's cosy. The view from the Restaurant is really nice, that 's certainly something special in Portree. Food was fresh but still quite average and definitely expensive. The service was good, but not overly friendly. (I heard the waitress gossiping about other guests which from my POV is a no go .

Restaurant review The restaurant is lovely, nice selection of seasonal food and plenty of options in terms of drinks. The main bartender greeted us and apologised as he was the only one working tonight as the other waiter had phoned in sick. Honestly, couldn't tell the difference he was superb and had such a cheery attitude it made the evening just that much better. Would definitely come back for the food and the service.

Our favorite stay in the UK by far! The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with phenomenal views. It was a perfect stay in the centre of Portree during our visit to Isle of Skye. Above all else, I cannot rave more about the service from the team at the Rosedale. Pieter and Dawn went above and beyond our expectations in the care they provided during our stay. From taking special care of our little one, having a high chair ready to go for us at breakfast, lovely conversations to keeping the bar section's lights on later so that I would get some work done, we were so well looked after. Without a doubt, we will be back!

It's not a bad hotel, but it could use vast improvements. I stayed one night. Long review ahead... Staff Service: Accommodating and lovely. They deserve five stars, but the hotel itself does not. Location: Right along the water. Great views (from the restaurant). Food: The breakfast was overcooked. Not good when I needed a steak knife to cut my eggs and hash-brown. Hotel: A very trusting hotel. No outside doors are locked overnight, so anyone could wander in. I assume there are no homeless drunks in Portree because where I'm from, there would homeless sleeping in the hallways. Room: Stayed in the Partial View room, and is overpriced. Unless you enjoy the view of parked cars, noise, an outdat...
