"The restaurant was very clean and the decor was beautiful. Although we had booked we were shown to our table which sadly was not laid up for us. We were not asked if we had any allergies. When our food came we had to ask for cutlery. The starters bread was pre spread and the bread looked like ordinary shop sliced brown bread. We chose steak but had no steak knife . We were not offered any condiments. We had a gift voucher for a Sunday Lunch but it was not clear if this was for the 2 or 3 course meal and when we enquired the staff were unsure and did not seem to know or how to check. We were told it was ‘probably for the 2course meal’. We both felt that the staff serving our food were not very attentive and lacked good customer, they did not smile their body language was not open. I particularly felt they we were in the way. We were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menus but not asked if we wanted anything else. We asked for a coffee and tea and then had to ask if we could sit in the lounge area. The bar staff and receptionists and the young lady that welcomed us in the dinneing area, Rosie’ or a name similar was very polite and engaging."

A very relaxing Sunday dinner. The service was very good and the food was excellent. It was really good to just sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the restaurant and its surroundings while enjoying the excellent food and drink.

We had a delightful experience for Easter Sunday lunch. The menu featured traditional recipes, beautifully presented, such as rosemary paired with roasted wine. Although the restaurant was bustling and there was a lively atmosphere in another area, the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

the only problem we had was that our table was booked for 3.15, it was a Sunday dinner for which we booked. When we arrived, I was told that Sunday dinner had ended and had to wait for the staff to confirm with the kitchen that it was still available for us. we got our Sunday dinner and it was very good, possibly the best Sunday roast I had for a long time. This is my second visit to this restaurant, and it's located in a beautiful setting with plenty of space, which is great during these COVID times. Both the food and service were very good. My only minor complaint is that everything felt a bit rushed; from the moment I arrived to finishing three courses took less than an hour. The pacing for a relaxed evening out could definitely be improved. Other than that, it was all quite enjoyable.
