Parked in the pub car park then went for 6 mile circular walk up the skirrid and back to the pub for great lunch in very friendly and quite busy old world pub would definitely recommend. Service: 4 Location: 5

This hotel is amazing with incredibly friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We loved our room and had a fantastic dining experience at the charming restaurant. We will definitely be returning. Overall rating: 5 stars for rooms, service, and location.

A wonderful inn and a gigantic step back in time! Fabulous service by the lady, behind the bar(she did tell me her name but I'm rubbish at remembering names!)and the chef.Gorgeous Vegan curry,chips and rice, followed by a half pint of Welsh ale.A must visit for sceptic and ghost hunters alike.Cant wait to visit again. During our visit to Abergavenny, we stopped by the Skirrid Inn after hearing about its historical significance. The pub is quite interesting and does a great job of providing information about its past. They offer a wide variety of drinks to choose from to suit everyone's tastes. However, I have to admit that the food was mediocre. The traditional pub grub was not up to par, as my burger was overcooked and dry. In terms of service, I would rate it a 5 out of 10.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and it will be our last visit. We arrived at the pub around 6:45 pm, were directed to our table, and ordered our starters. The starters arrived in about 20 minutes, which was good. However, we had to wait nearly 2 hours for our main course. When we mentioned this to the staff, they were very rude. When the food finally arrived, it was not cooked the way we wanted and was very greasy. Overall, the service was rated as 1 out of 5.

What a funky place. Me the kids took the Misses for a birthday meal. Didn't book it was a Friday evening. They took us into the restaurant area, which was great, cause we had the whole room all to ourselves. But, I think this set the spooks off a little bit. For instance, As soon as we arrived at our table and the waitress had almost walked through the door, a small copper jug fell off the top of the electric fire onto the harth. No one was near it at the time. We spoke about our time there after the visit it seems we ALL experienced different little spooky things, that we dismissed, until we discussed it later.
