"This restaurant is truly exceptional. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in a cozy bar with delicious homemade snacks. We had plenty of time to peruse the menu, which offered a wide variety of appealing options. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very calming and the food was superb, prepared with creativity and skill. The ingredients were ethically sourced and often locally sourced, with the vegetables coming from their own garden bursting with flavor. The Welsh lamb from a nearby farm was especially delectable. The dessert sharing plate was beautifully presented and the coffee was served with delightful petit fours. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and could not find any faults with this restaurant. We highly recommend it."

"We visited here for lunch as we are in the area. As a chef and restaurant manager, we usually find the good in most dining situations and are pleased to be enjoying food somewhere else, however my experience was less than favourable from the moment...we arrived, an older lady grunted at us as we arrived the bar and wondered off, another lovely lady came to take our order for drinks but we hadn’t even been given menus, I got the distinct impression that the older lady had instantly dismissed us for not being regulars. I must stress here that all the other staff were lovely. We were promptly seated after ordering and given plenty of time to enjoy. The food we felt was distinctly average. We asked for the bill and after waiting half an hour for the bill, we got fed up and went to the bar only for the lady to bark at us that she had been trying to “track us down” we hadn’t moved from the table all lunch. If I or any of my staff ever treated a customer like this, I would have a serious word."

"We enjoyed a lovely meal for 9 on a very warm evening. Good choice of quality real ales to start , and nice atmosphere with friendly staff . Wes shared spicy prawns and kalamari as a starter , which were excellent . Several of us had the goat curry , which was spicy and tasty. Also the pork belly was popular and very tasty. Both were large portions. We didn't try desserts as we were all full. This is good wholesome food , and is very good value."

"We visited this restaurant for the first time and it will be our last visit. We arrived at the pub around 6:45 pm, were directed to our table, and ordered our starters. The starters arrived in about 20 minutes, which was good. However, we had to wait nearly 2 hours for our main course. When we mentioned this to the staff, they were very rude. When the food finally arrived, it was not cooked the way we wanted and was very greasy. Overall, the service was rated as 1 out of 5."

"The food here, is easily the most beautiful food I've ever had in a restaurant or pub, I myself had the hunters chicken, it was cooked to perfection, my fiancé had the pandy burger, and as burger fanatics as we are has said its the best burger he's ever had, my mother had the faggots and has said you can easily tell they are homemade and taste gorgeous, my dad had the beef pie and said it was lovely, the chips that come with the food as well were really well cooked. Will definitely be returning."
