Had this place recommended as a great Sunday lunch. The food was very good, however......... The poor service, strange locals and the general untidyness of the place spoiled it for us. I should have checked the FSA rating first

Owner needs to wash not only mouth out with soap, but most of the customers. Never heard as much swearing in front of kids. Overpriced and left me feeling ill rest of day. Try mcdonalds, at least the staff don't abuse customers as much. Visualizza piatti

We have been here several times and never disappointed. The landlord and his wife are very friendly . We look forward to going at weekends, the ale is good especially John smiths magnet. We also take our little dog . Good value for money .

Outstanding Sunday lunch with home made food and lovely friendly staff. Pleasant afternoon to spend with friends enjoying nice music with lovely atmosphere. We've been a number of times now and definitely one of our favourites. Well worth a visit.

I was appalled when my 3-year-old was playing with a noisy toy in a quiet restaurant. Instead of politely addressing the situation with me, the manager, who had clearly been drinking, felt it was appropriate to repeatedly shout "no" at my child. It took a lot of effort to remain calm as I watched my child's reaction. It was a disrespectful and unprofessional behavior that left me feeling disheartened.

It's a local pub, does food, decent beer and good prices. Sunday carvery is a proper Sunday lunch. Popular little caravan/ campsite. It's got characters and character. A friendly atmosphere. All that warmth you expect in a real pub. Like going home somewhere else. People from the Netherlands turn up on cycling holidays because someone over there recommended the place. That's eclectic mix that is The Sloop.

I had been looking for a carvery nearby on TripAdvisor and found this place with great reviews. I was not let down. The lamb and pork I had were delicious, and my partner enjoyed the beef. The food tasted homemade and gave a feeling of being at home without having to cook. The small, friendly pub had helpful staff. I believe I have found the ideal place to bring friends and family for a carvery. I traveled 12 miles to get there, and I would do it again. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday lunch, guys.
