"My friend booked this and was reassured they had a separate GF menu and was Coeliac safe. When we arrived the waitress informed me there was no GF menu and ‘all’ pasta could be made GF. This didn’t quite reassure me as not all sauces looked to be GF. The manager came out and was a lot more reassuring. I proceeded to order the Pasta Arrabiata and garlic mushrooms. I was already slightly on edge. The food came out within 10 mins which was extremely fast but also again concerning (cross contamination, less careful timing). The food tasted amazing. 4 hours later the Coeliac in me hit and I had a huge flare up. I will not be going to this restaurant again. NOT COELIAC FRIENDLY. Reassurance in a restaurant is so important and honesty too and I didn’t feel comfortable or confident."

"After months of covid restrictions and other various little setbacks the family said their final farewells to my brother. It was a beautiful afternoon as we said goodbye just as he wanted, beside our family childhood home and the canal at Dudbridge. We followed this this with afternoon tea at The Bell, where he used to go as a young spiv. Justyna and her team did him proud. We had a warm welcome, beautifully prepared and presented food including vegan and mindful of allergies. Such a lovely setting , gorgeous views, very comfortable venue...in fact a really really lovely afternoon . Just as Gerry would have wanted. Thank you sooo much all of you. xxxx"

"After I recently had to change my diet because of illness, I thought that the days I could eat had everything, but then I found the olive tree in nailsworth. I was aware that they have already offered a quite impressive looking vegan menu and so I plan to see if they would be able to meet my other diet requirements that are on the phone not only assured me that I could be supplied, but also the food allergy leaf out and via options with me also a notic next to my booking, so that other workers would also be aware. the olive tree is a small but intimate restaurant with outside seats. there are several vegetarian options on the main menu and on the separate vegan menu 4 or 5 starters, net and even a selection of deserts. the waitress was very attentive to check with the kitchen what they could do for me and finally I decided for a pasta dish, my friend the vegetable risotto. at the beginning we have divided some sweet potato wedges that were tasty the only critique is that the portion size was tiny for the price, but the waitress went over and about the change of the dip that she accompanied so that I could have it. my pasta was tasty, but not too exciting, and no flavor. my friends risotto was very sharp and lemony and in contrast to risottos he cooks in the rule (he is something of a Risotto king!), but he was impressed and the court was very crowded. it was not the biggest meal we ever had, but it is nice to know that there is a restaurant that can offer for so many allergies / diet types."

"Nice restaurant within the hotel, good menu and wine list and comfortable restaurant area. Food of excellent quality my hamburger was delicious. Waiters were pleasant and efficient. A good relaxing meal. Christmas Eve 2023 stayed the night. Stayed the night as with friends over Christmas, had a relaxing drink in the bar with some great chips as late for lunch. Our room was smart, clean with an on suit shower room. The bed was large but was extremely hard which did make for an uncomfortable sleep personal choice) Breakfast was a little bit of a shambles, no one approached us and we asked if we can order. Having received tea we waited for our boiled eggs on toast, mine arrived but only bread for my partner which we asked to be toasted- the two eggs arrived but no toast. I finished mine before the other was finally completed! Not a good start to the day which let down the stay. I very much appreciate it was Christmas and not the usual breakfast room, the staff were friendly and very pleasant so hope it was a one off, unfortunately for us."
