"On arrival at the hotel we were showed a room and on checking into the room we found that the mattress had pee and other stains on it, we called the manager who looked at it and then asked us to wait in the bar with a free drink whilst she went to sort it out. After a while she came back and informed us that she was unable to sort it out, and unfortunally has she had only taken over recently and was in the stage of sorting tings out could not help and provide a different room for us as the hotel was fully booked, she offered us a full refund and even said that she would reduce the bill buy 50 per cent if we still wanted to stay and sleep on the bed, Which we said no! what a question to ask? she also said she would help us to try to find a different hotel, we did book one but that was really dirty so we then had to phone around and spoke with three other hotels in the area but all were fully booked, in the end we had to drive to Working to get a hotel which we did. On reflection and after driving 140 miles to get to the Squirrel for a occasion with our family at an event near bye, and with all the distress and upset we had to experience we feel that some compensation should had been offered and given to us. Also we feel that to have been offered a discount to have stayed and sleep on a bed that was stained was quite upsetting, would she has sleep on it? are these the standards we should expect no! Not the experience we had hoped for and very upsetting for us. We look forward to your reply and any action you will give to offset the distress we felt."

This behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards of a responsible establishment. Additionally, she looked younger than 18, raising concerns about her legality to work behind the bar. If this situation is not addressed promptly, I will escalate my concerns further. My daughter works as a waitress at your pub and now feels unsafe due to this incident. If this issue is not taken seriously, I will submit a more formal complaint.

My relatives from the Lake District stayed for 1 night, and I went to see them and have some dinner. there was 8 of us but the restaurant had plenty of space I don't have anything to say regarding the rooms. The restaurant is nice, clean, and tidy. The menu was good, I had liver and onions on Mash, very good service in the restaurant was very good. The only thing I can point out was that the toilets were very dirty. If I'm in Godalming, I will remember the squirrel Inn and may return Visualizza piatti

Took my partner for a lite Bite which ended up being a three course lunch lol. I started with the mussels and she had the chicken liver pate, totally delicious. Then for mains i had the Scampi and she had the Pasta Con Pollo for dessert i had the apple and rhubard crumble, my partner has the sticky toffee pudding both served with custard. To say the food was delicious really would be an understatement. Service was great, very pleasant and get friendly staff. Highly recommend the food at this place. 10/10.

We enjoyed a pleasant Sunday lunch, although the portions were a bit on the smaller side. Unfortunately, our side dishes arrived only after we had finished our roast, which was disappointing. Overall, the food was good, the service was satisfactory, and the atmosphere was nice. I can’t give it a full 5 stars due to a few issues, like receiving the wrong dishes multiple times, the delay in getting our side orders, and the presence of several dogs in the pub. However, we plan to return, as we've had better experiences there in the past. Service: 5/5.
