"Ok, the pub is basic inside, but it is neat, clean and comfortable. The staff are fantastically friendly and our dog was welcome too. The food's quality is beyond words. The portion sizes are brilliant. I spoke to the kitchen staff to thank them for my meal and they were really appreciative. Bar staff and kitchen staff are all modestly marvellous. Well worth a trip from Penrhyn Bay and Runcorn. Thank you The Stag. A lovely interlude to a smashing day."

Amazing staff nothing is too much to ask for would, highly recommend the food here as well been couple of times Sunday lunch is fabulous! And the chef's homemade curry and garlic and mushroom sauce for the sirloin is amazing!

Lisa is so welcoming. The chefs food is absolutely stunning! Well worth a visit! Always enjoy eating here because never disappointed! Breakfasts are amazing! Love bringing our family here when they are up to visit. Perfect atmosphere.
