It's been a while since we visited The Swynnie so didn't really know what to expect. Well, were we ever pleasantly surprised not only at the choice on the menu but also the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. Service with a smile at all times. The place is obviously very popular as people kept arriving while we were there and when we left all the tables were taken. The highlight of an excellent meal were the home cooked chips, which were every bit as good as any we've ever tasted. Highly recommend and it won't be long before we return !!

After an incredible wedding in Stone, we asked friends for a recommendation for a great Sunday lunch and this was it! Under new management was apparently key to this, as the person had been 4 times in 3 weeks! Loved that snd didn’t hesitate to come. It was excellent from start to finish. 1. Uber friendly bar staff who served our drinks on the way to the table. 2. Plenty of staff so quickly seated and served. 3. Tweaks to the dish were absolutely no problem. 4. Food was really delicious and beautifully cooked. 5. Ambience spot on. Would absolutely go back to eat here and try some other dishes on the menu.

My husband and myself decided to go for an early tea. The eating area was almost empty and asked for a quiet table albeit it was a table for 4 but as it was almost empty didn't see how that would be a problem.we were shown to a cramped table for two along the wall by a very unsmiling abrupt lady which was not the best service. I must say the food was lovely but having to keep waiting for dessert and the bill although the place was almost empty was not the best experience. I did find that before we left two couples came in who were obviously regulars and were given a far better reception. We will not be back which is sad as we have been many times in the past. Had to ask for a table, then get up and ask for a drink, then ask if we could order, sat through a 3 course meal with only one drink. The lady behind the bar short brown hair talking to another staff member about rubbish while im waiting for a drink. Then i asked the waiter, man with dark hair and beard (looked like a chef) if i can order he says can you wait, well at this point id waited 20mins. Then the blonde hair lady bought the food, i asked for sauce and it was like asking for a free meal. Absolutely shocking, the management need to employ staff that at least look like they want to be there. Embarrassing for all Will mot return and i know all the other customers were complaining about...

Just home from The Swynnerton Arms utterly replete and ready to lavish praise on this establishment. We booked a table for five, and went for the full three courses. The starters were very encouraging. Personally I went for the corned beef bon bons. How novel, I have never seen anything like these on any other menu, and they were superb. The Branston Pickle and salad accompanying these really worked. All the mains, ranging from rump steak to the Swynnerton Burger were perfect, and those chips!!!!! I have eaten here many times , and always enjoyed both my meal and the atmosphere . However, I believe it is under new management with a new menu , which I experienced last night. We had pre ordered some of the meals as there were14 of us, but asked to make a change to two of them and were told that it wasn’t possible as they were already being cooked .. this is before we had even had starters and it was only lasagne we wanted to swap from to gammon . I also asked if we could have two separate tabs as two families , again it was not possible. Starters came minus one) that came after we had all finished ours .
