The Three Horseshoes

Only one bitter on offer, I ordered Brixham battered cod and chips which took 45 minutes between ordering and receiving. When it arrived it was more a R. Misbourne minnow in batter. Not impressed at all.

This restaurant is definitely worth the journey if you are not a local. It was the best Sunday lunch we have had in years. The food, especially the beef, was of excellent quality, and the service was both friendly and attentive.

Nice area but pub noting special. Go to one of the other pubs locally. This doesn't match the other locals for food or ambience. Sunday lunch was expensive for what was produced and service poor. Beef was well done when asked for pink, the rest of the roast was cold. Quite grim. Second time the roast here has been poor will avoid in future. Visualizza piatti

Nathan and Mary had a wonderful dinner at The Three Horseshoes Pub in Seer Green, a charming and friendly village. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I really do reckon I had the best Sunday roast dinner I have had in a long time yesterday. My Husband and I both had the same and it was outstanding. The Beef was good, the veg was cooked perfectly I don’t know how the carrots were cooked but they were delicious and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. There’s nothing more to say my thanks and praise go to the Chef and the team. It was really brilliant, thank you. We will be back for more.

I held my sons christening celebration here and I cannot recommend or thank the Three Horse Shoes enough for all they did. The buffet prices were reasonable and the food was absolutely beautiful and all the guests commented such on the day. Nothing was to much trouble, tea and coffee was topped up throughout the day and special little touches, like some of the food being served like canapés to the guests around the venue, just made the whole day perfect. We were giving exclusive use of one area with access to the beautiful garden. If you are thinking of using them for a function I highly recommend them. You’d be hard pushed to find better locally! The pub is lovely, staff are friendly, dogs are allowed so wants not to like. We ordered roast lamb, it was the smallest lunch we’ve ever had. You get one slice of meat, three potatoes, a Yorkshire pud, a parsnip, a teaspoon of cabbage, a tablespoon of cauliflower/broccoli cheese mush and a tiny streak of carrot with gravy! My husbands still hungry, I think you need to stick on a few actual carrots, a extra slice of meat, another potato and a bit more veg. I should of took a picture but I didn’t really want to show anyone. I would of paid a bit more for a actual proper sized dinner, I felt like saying I think some of my items are missing off the plate but didn’t want to be rude.

Had a quite pleasant Sunday lunch while in Seer Green recently. The pub is in a lovely area and very traditional looking from the outside. There is limited parking but plenty on street parking if it's full. Seated straight away and offered the menus and some water. Nice choice of starters so opted for the salmon crab fishcake which was quite nice but still a little cold in the middle and could have been cooked for another minute or so. The duck liver pâté was excellent, full of flavor , smooth and very very tasty served with cranberry sauce and some bread. Two weeks ago, I made a reservation for a group dinner at The Three Horseshoes. I had seen on Facebook that they were offering a lovely Christmas meal, so I assumed we would be able to enjoy it since it was December. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the Christmas meal was pre-order only, which was not stated on Facebook, and that we would have to order from the more expensive a la carte menu. We were given copies of the menu, but it turned out that the party had different versions, causing unnecessary confusion.
