"I didn't try any savory dishes at this restaurant, but they do have a few vegan options such as jacket potato and a ciabatta on the menu, which is currently available online. My friends decided to have the chips, but I found out they are cooked in the same deep fat fryer as non-vegan items like fish. Unfortunately, they had run out of vegan cakes when I visited. The location is nice, with friendly staff and a good selection of postcards and gifts. There is outdoor seating available under a gazebo and in the garden, as well as indoor seating. "Great food and very friendly service right next Colonsay harbour. We went for seafood night which I highly recommend you do need to book. Amazing seafood platter, but also great fish and plenty of options for those who dont like seafood, They also seem to have menus for coffees, snacks, lunches etc and dinners on most nights a great facility on this small island."

"During our three-night stay at the hotel, we dined there on two evenings, which was sufficient as we had already tried our favorite dishes from the menu and wanted to avoid burgers and fries. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of seafood options, but the meals we did have were tasty and reasonably priced. On the first day, we had a vegetable tagine and fish and chips, and on the second day, we enjoyed salmon pate and a cod goujons sandwich for lunch. For our final evening, we savored a cod cassoulet, pork loin, a delightful rhubarb crumble with ice cream, and a chocolate bread and butter pudding. Drinks were reasonably priced at £6.50 for a Colonsay IPA and £7.50 for a local G&T. The service was friendly, and the dining room was spacious and bright with lovely views of the garden overlooking the sea. However, the uncomfortable hard chairs and lack of background music made for a quiet atmosphere where it was easy to overhear others' conversations. The bar lounges, on the other hand, were cozy and welcoming, with comfortable sofas and fires burning."

"To be truthful, I didn't get to eat any of the gorgeous homebakes because of my dietary restrictions, and I honestly came in only to get away from the midges outside, but I'm so glad I did! There were delighted smiles on everyone's faces when they saw the selection, and their smiles were even bigger when they brought back their empty plates. The cook was behind the counter, chatting as she concocted her wares, dishing out island advice and community information to locals and tourists alike. What a great way to enjoy a holiday coffee break! (My husband DID try the cake with his coffee and gave it a hearty thumb's up!"
