"Fantastic 1 night stay in Executive River view room. This was a free upgrade and was immaculately clean and all looked like it had recently been refurbished. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Was on a Dinner, bed and breakfast deal but unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked. We had to eat in the bar but this was fine and food was very nice. We had fillet steak which was undercooked so we sent it back. This was not a problem and 5 minutes or so it came back cooked as we had requested. Overall it did not spoil the dining experience. I would highly recommend this hotel if wanting to stay in a beautiful hotel with great accommodation and lovely staff. This was our third stay at this hotel and will definitely return again. Dinner bed and breakfast is a fantastic deal if available. Thanks again to Sue and all the team."

The service was excellent. Best steak I had in a long time. We sat in the dinning area, very cosy. Beautiful place, highly recommend it.

Lovely rooms and atmosphere. Very good food. Welcoming staff. What was not so good was the water pressure on the top floor which afected the flow and destabilized the temperature. Overall I would recomend to visit.

Yesterday night there. our room was fabulous. that was delicious. the personal was beautiful. would definitely recommend it and will be back. if I had to find mistakes, our room was really hot. we opened the window.

Came today for the breakfast with Santa Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. There was a wide selection of breakfast food. Very well organised and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be recommending it to others. Thank you all .

thanks to james. sue and the whole team of the trout, our high time in their hotel was everything we could wish. james, you went beyond and beyond to accept our endless desires. eating was amazing, all commented, the kitchen did amazing catering for all 72 guests. we pushed you to the border and you didn't crack! thank you again.

the second time I was for the Bistro week, and once again this was not disappointed. all the decisions and courses we had were presented beautifully and very tasty. the staff was helpful and very friendly, the waiter kept the door open as we left what was a nice note. beautiful atmosphere for a relaxed, pleasant experience. I look forward to the next, or even for another meal.

Afternoon tea with friends. A very enjoyable afternoon with friends at the Trout. Afternoon tea was excellent fresh sandwiches delicate cakes and a small cup of tomato soup. With a variety of teas and coffee which were always replenished. Excellent staff who served and accomadated those with dietery requirements. We had so much food we all brought a box home with us. All in all we had a lovely time and will be back. Well done to the Trout and Staff. (A review has also been posted on Trip Advisor .
