"We visited on Olney's busiest day, Dickens of a Christmas, but still managed to get a seat, albeit at a tiny table, because we were hungry. Situated beside the roaring log fire, we quickly warmed up after our walk around town. We noticed a special menu and decided to eat here instead of going home to cook, which turned out to be a great choice. We both ordered the Roast Turkey with trimmings, but when it arrived, we couldn't find the turkey at first. After moving the trimmings around, we discovered three succulent slices hidden under a mountain of greens, veggies, potatoes, and a huge Yorkshire pudding. The food was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it, so much so that I had to help my wife finish her portion. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks and chatted with other visitors to town who were also taking advantage of the kitchen offerings. Overall, the food was great, served quickly, and perfect for that particular day."

We noticed a sign advertising a 2 course lunch for £7.50, and didn't have high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The homemade soup with a warm roll and homemade chili with a delicious side salad were excellent. The drinks were also reasonably priced. Along with the friendly service, we highly recommend this restaurant.

First time I visited for a meal since it had an internal facelift and was impressed. The new layout is neat and tidy, separating the food tables from comfortable soft seating for the drinkers. Not a distinct separation, a subtle one. The menu has shrunk a little but still has a good choice of pub type food along with an extensive gluten free/vegetarian/vegan range. Service was pretty slick and saw our scampi cod being delivered pretty quickly. Cooked well and presented as pub food is, I can see us visiting again, maybe for their lunch offers.

My wife and I had lunch here and it was such a lovely experience. We've never visited this town before so were at a loss for where to have something to eat, but really fortunately for us there was a parking space right in front the pub and as we parked up we noticed the board outside offering two courses for £7.25, so we thought that we'd give it a chance and we're so glad that we did. The member of staff that saw to us throughout our visit was friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent and both of us agreed that we couldn't have chosen a better place for a bite to eat. We would both easily recommend this place for a good value, delicious meal in a lovely, friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic traditional English pub located on the High Street of the beautiful market town of Olney. Famous for its annual pancake race, Dickins of Christmas fair and food festival amongst other things. The two Brewers has two lovely bars. The public bar is popular with locals for games like darts and pool. The lounge bar is much bigger and is set out with tables for eating or just drinking around a real fire in the winter months. The food is always very good and reasonable priced, especially for a Sunday roast Parking: Parking is free in the rear carpark you just need to register at the bar. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Steak Pie Parking space...

We decided to take a break from cooking and went to 'the Brewers' for a meal. The newly designed bar area is a huge improvement from a year ago, with comfortable lounge furniture for drinkers and dining tables in the same area. Although the menu has been reduced, there is still a good selection to cater to most tastes. My wife had the Prawn Cocktail and I had the autumn veg soup, both of which were tasty and a good value. For our mains, we had the Chicken Ham Pie, which was excellent with a generous amount of ham and chicken, and the Beef Lasagne, which was extremely tasty but could have used a bit more beef. The food was of high quality, the service was excellent, and the fact that we also...

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
