"Not a great experience for my birthday unfortunately as I've heard good things about the food here. It started with complimentary appetiser roll with butter which was what it was but ok. Then followed by belly pork with honey with a little salad on top which was ok but forgettable. Mains was fillet of beef on a mushroom sauce which was ok except the beef was cooked very rare for medium rare and tasteless. My mother had battered haddock which was wet ,soggy on the underside of the batter and the chips were pale also a small bowl of veg which was slightly overcooked as the cabbage was soggy in the serving bowl hardly enough to share between two meals either. The young waitress was very good. Atmosphere didn't make me feel very relaxed and didnt stay for dessert. I came with some site workers two years before and they enjoyed it as there was a choice of a steak, curry as I think a steak is a staple in any restaurant. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2"

The place itself is not that inviting especially when the main restaurant area is closed and you sit in an open area next to the main bar. Putting that to one side the food itself was very good including garnishes, vegetables etc. Bottom line is we'd go again ! The meal was delightful, easily earning a perfect score for the food. Every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, providing the perfect backdrop for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic dinner at a reasonable price!
