"After a change of time on our behalf and a few issues we did eventually sit down to eat at 8 15pm Disappointed to find out that thurs was steak night and steak was all they cooked..They did do my do pregnant daughter just chips and onion rings. This is where it went downhill we asked for chunky chips which was on menu skinny fries were brought out on all 4 steaks when I queried it the lady just said oh sorry..The steak deal was 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £25 we were never offered any wine we did however have a bottle of prosecco which wasn't included on our bill but we were charged for an extra steak..we tipped the waitress as we were later eating and she was pleasant enough.. The next day 4 out of the 5 of us were all ill...We did email the pub to thank them for accommodating us with the late arrival and to inform them of us bring ill yet 5 days later we have had no reply no great customer service.. Basically over charged not offered the wine that supposedly comes with meal deal not great wouldn't return"

"Our table was nicely separated from other diners and the overall atmosphere of the pub was warm and friendly. For our main course, we ordered liver, steaks, and a Thai curry, along with Narrow Gauge beer and various wines. We did not have starters or dessert. Overall, we had a very enjoyable meal and were particularly impressed by the exceptional value for money. We appreciated the high standards of hospitality and service set by the managers and staff during these exceptional times, and we voted the Plume of Feathers as the best pub of our holiday. Thank you, guys!"

"Went here today lovely setting. Not far from Everdon Stubbs which is beautiful and another reason to go. Only back open a year very nicely done up with a lovely garden that is just having some extra work done. Service great, even though there wasn’t any vegan options I asked if they had anything I could have and they offered me a couple of lovely options. Flat bread with tofu and salad and a nice drizzle of balsamic. It was a starter size which was fine by me. I had tea to drink which they did have any plant milk for but I always take some with me so that still work for me. My husband had the Sunday dinner which he said was good. The only negative is only a little parking at the front so we parked a little way down the road. Don’t think this is something that they can change as it is a small village pub with nowhere to add the space."

"many thanks for their delicious food at the midday today excellent service from all and a great special thank you to the chef who went out of his to ensure my celiac son! I forgot to make photos, but he loved his lunch so much and it makes a difference that he has a big chickenburger and chips instead of something he doesn’t really have fantastic, especially as his friends burgers! Many thanks again, they have no idea how much difference it does when it’s child health and happiness” and feel them “fit” in"

"So, 3 Scotsmen walk into an English pub a couple of hours before England kick off.... No, it's not the start of a joke, and nor is the White Hart ! We did not have a booking but got a large table for the 3 of us close to the TV. The beer was excellent with a couple of well kept real ales and plenty of choice for kegged beer. I would also add it's cheaper than Glasgow prices. We ordered food got to say it was a real highlight. I had the samosas for a starter/side dish. Great price and a big portion. 2 good sized samosas which tasted amazing. I had the lamb madras. I thought the price was on the high side compared to Glasgow about £15 until the food actually arrived. A large metal bowl filled with my choice. The lamb was succulent, melt in mouth perfection and there was plenty of it. The taste was out of this world and was obviously made fresh and with quality ingredients by someone who knows how to cook at the highest level. The naan was large and tasty. I can assure you the main courses are real value for money. The owner and all staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. I would also add the customers were the same. Really great place to visit if you are in the area. I am hoping my work sends me back down that way soon I'll be back to the White Hart any time I can."
