"If the site would let me give this place a 5 star then I would !! If you live in Halifax you have to try this place and if you live further afield then it’s worth the journey trust me !!! They cater for absolutely everybody. I’m a vegan and a coeliac so it’s not always easy to find somewhere that’s accommodating but accommodating and friendly is exactly what the Winterburn is. There more than happy to answer any questions about the menu and the landlady and landlord Lucy and Ozzy will come to your table and bend over backwards to cater and recommend anything you need, it’s such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Everything is clearly printed on the menu and all the vegan options are there in front of you from the start so you don’t have to ask for a special menu and feel like an after thought. Let’s talk about the delicious food. Starters I had the soup lovely mushroom and nice and thick. Mains a beautiful mushroom risotto, plenty of flavour and a wonderful mix of wild mushrooms absolutely beautiful and for desserts a gluten free, vegan chocolate fudge cake with vegan ice cream absolutely delicious and something I certainly wasn’t expecting, they have lots of options for everyone and also asked about vegan recipes as there always looking to change things up and add more options to the menu. Great atmosphere great owners and staff and fantastic well presented food, also a great selection of vegan drinks, I would recommend this little gem to anyone and will certainly be making it my regular spot. I would recommend booking"

Went there recently for Sunday lunch. Food very good and not over expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice setting with views over the valley. I’d go again anytime.

great food. excellent meal today with my parents. my burger was amazing. my parents enjoyed the beef and chicken. puddings excellent too. service amazing. thanks for the meal. we'll be back soon.

had a nice meal with the family tonight. I had not expected much, but I was impressed by eating and service. absolutely loved it and I hope to be back as soon as they update the menus. I'll wait.

beautiful environment and great, friendly service. the best vegan fish and chips I had, and I had a lot! eating was hot and fresh, the restaurant immaculate. the waitress said they sold a lot of vegan food!

great place very attentive to customers. they have a separate vegan menu that offers more than the standard salad vegan option that they get elsewhere. beautiful atmosphere. a must try if you don't have it already.

the lookout up is amazing. had a nice dinner tonight with my let (the vegan is) and her mother. we found eating delightful, vegan menu gets a big thumb up. Even had a little pud as we were tried by the vegan cake and ice cream.

separate vegan menu (see photo) is excellent with a lot of choice for any cure and vegan weine also available. in a beautiful location with fantastic view. we had a table on a sunny evening that was great. personal really friendly. we will definitely return and recommend this pub.
