Great little find for a Saturday night dinner with friends! We were a walk-in booking and seated straight away, great service and tasty food. Buzzing atmosphere too with big and small tables in December before Christmas. Would go again!

Got the sharer plate for two with chips. So much feel we brought half home. Best Donner I've ever had. All the meat was juicy, tender and full of flavour. The place was full but they managed to find a table for an hour which was ample time. Great cozy atmosphere too

This is a great Turkish place in Manchester Deansgate. The food was amazing, tasty and tasted fresh. I've been to few Turkish places and food was bland but this place was the total opposite of bland... Delicious food and for less than £12 you can't complain. Will definitely visit again.

Went for a late lunch. We ordered a set lunch. I went for chicken breast with walnut sauce as starter which was little bland for my taste as it was less spicy, but it was a good dish overall. It went well with garlic bread. Main dish was topkapi lamb, which is a lamb Kebab with rice and salad. Very good dish with good flavors. Turkish delight was given as a complimentary dessert, which is a very unique in taste. Ambience of the restaurant is a bit lacking.

for the first time here to celebrate Mother's Day and we left to be full and happy. we ordered their 2 course menu at £11.95 we had falafels, spinach borek and feta cheese borek, adana kebab and topkapi special. I can't say if these are authentic Turkish aromen, but they were delicious and we enjoyed them. was also generous. the service and the atmosphere were great. the restaurant was quickly filled, which is a good sign of its popularity. we'll eat again soon.

such good food, many good vegetarian and meat options, the veggie cold meze is beautiful and the meat meze super tasty the main pieces are perfectly dimensioned, the lamb (adana kebab) is cooked to perfection with the aromes that can be seen throughout the teller, the grilled hen (piles kebab) had the perfect charred taste. the waiting staff is so amazing and friendly, she was happy to explain every dish and also suggest dishes would definitely recommend if they wish an authentic taste

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
