Village Grill – Village Hotel Aberdeen

The food was absolutely amazing. Boyfriend said his steak was the best he’s every had and my spinach and sweet potato curry was delicious!

Tasty food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. We have been a couple of times since it’s so handy for friends coming from different directions out with Aberdeen.

Excellent service and food was of a high quality. Very easy to book online. Thought the tables were very close together and hence not easy to have a quiet conversation.

Service is very poor. Knowledge of menu is very poor. Never got offered menu for deserts or drinks. Couldnt find anyone to get the bill so had to stand and wait at till. Nothing special, just an average tea.

We do like it here, but didn’t quite reach standards of previous dining. Staff were a bit muddled at times. Third time lucky with drinks after the first 2 choices were not available. Food was not really hot enough and beef disappointing. Daughter enjoyed her turkey. Will try again sometime but probably not for Sunday lunch.

I took my mum for her 65th birthday and it was absolutely lovely. There is lots of choice for all inclusive starters and desserts which are just the right size. The food was exceptional and the service was very attentive. I had a buy one get one free voucher but would have been worth the full price and we will definitely be back.

I’ve been to The Village for their Sunday carvery in many previous occasions however I will not be back, we had to wait an hour for our food, which arrived cold and the vegetables were what can only be described as hard as rocks! When asked if we had enjoyed our meal our server told us that there had been many complaints that day! Sums it up really!!! The staff seemed completely oblivious to what was going on around them, not their fault but obviously due to a lack of management presence and training! There are not enough staff for the pub and grill. The service is extremely slow. We waited 50 minutes on our mains arriving and both were wrong. They took them away to fix and again were wrong. My partner ordered a chicken stacker which said came with 2 chicken breasts however it only came with one. We then waited 10 minutes for this to be fixed. I ordered the village stacker burger, I looked inside the burger thinking it was different to what I had read on the menu. Immediately the waitress came and said they had given me the wrong burger and would bring back the right one. They did bring back another burger however again it was wrong. DisgustEd and utter disappointment in the way my party of four were treated . I had booked a table for 4 people at midday as a treat for my parents before going to Strickly come dancing today. when we arrived there was a board closing of the restaurant and so we went into the bar where we approached and told the restaurant was going to be full with an oil company function and waved away to find ourselves a table in the bar. My parents are elderly and can not manage up to the high tables so we eventually found a round table for the four of us to sit. The table and chairs were dirty and covered with food.
