"When in Nantes at the last-minute, I used my TA app on my iPhone to find something great near me. I called, and the person I spoke to couldn't have nicer, and said "come on over". I did. The restaurant was virtually empty, despite the fact that a couple of other places I called were booked solid and had no more tables available. The "acceuil" (welcome) couldn't have been nicer. The choices on offer were a fixed formula of 2 entrées, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. I was told that this was as they use only fresh products. I chose a main of cheese/pesto stuffed ravioli with a cream, tomato and cilantro sauce. It arrived quickly, but was maybe room temperature. The hope of fresh cilantro giving a "twist" to the dish, was there, but a bit in the background. I was a bit disappointed, as I couldn't identify the ravioli as being "home-made". In fact, nothing seemed to be fresh/hand chopped, like the tomatoes. I had the bread pudding for dessert, and it arrived also room temperature, was clearly "home-made" with pears, and clearly bread chunks on the top, with a swirl of chocolate for garnish. It was a bit dry, clearly not made very recently, and the inside (where the bread aspect should have been well-infused), was not throughout. The top of the "cake" had hard, dry bread chunks on it. My impression was that perhaps it was a "slow day", and they weren't putting much effort into it by serving something freshly cooked. There was only one other diner in the place. On the other hand, the serveuse could not have been nicer or more helpful. They feature an interesting international, short wine list with everything available by the glass. The dinner menu (on the blackboard on the wall), looked interesting. I think it merits trying again, if they turn on the stove and start serving food hot off the burner, as the interesting menu seasoning is attractive. Great service, but the food was mediocre this day."

Very very tasty honest food. We had a brunch here (oeuf Benedict) and were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. The dish consisted of several layers that blend magically together. Sexy waitress btw...

I don't leave any comment either, but when I want to eat, travel on the plates and spend a good time in the room, I don't know a better address on the swimmers. Thanks to the girls for these beautiful discoveries every time, I look forward to coming back

a very nice small restaurant in Nantes city center. fine cuisine with different influence from Asia, Africa or middle east. The food is great, the wine is delicious and the service done by one of the owner. It is definitely a great value for person looking to have a nice lunch or dinner in Nantes. I will be back soon.

I revisited vue du monde after a highly successful series of meals there soon after it opened a couple of years ago. I was delighted to see it is still flourishing with its unusual approach of offering menus from several continents. The menus and wine list are necessarily small for a tiny establishment but freshness of the food is the essence. Dinner on this recent occasion was notable for the exquisite French components, an entree of foie gras and chocolate desserts. I was relieved to discover that Coopers pale and sparking ales are still on the list. As ever, Emilie the front of house was charming and most knowledgeable.
